D&D ditched scripts in GOT & previous movies & made up their own.

Youtube.

Nutshell: Martin clashed with D&D. They believed their own hype and thought they were better writers than Martin.

Of course, take the video with a grain of salt.

never played

However, I did see the Futurama episode where the D&D creator appears (apparently the producers were fans). It's a terribly unfunny scene (Whoopi Goldberg is also in it) which is why it's stayed in my mind.

As much as people hate the final episode, I'm fairly confident that all of the character conclusions are GRRM vision. Bran becoming king makes sense that it came from GRRM considering that Bran is the first POV chapter in the series. However D&D did a horrible job writing Bran's character in the last 2 seasons that the moment he becomes king is such a let down.

In fact I think most peoples anger is misdirected. The final episode tied every remaining characters arc up, but since the last 2 seasons were so rushed none of it felt satisfying. The only exception being the Hound & Mountain wonderful ending to their storyline.

Cersei and Jamie’s storyline is retarded. John wth, why hype him up as the hero only for him not to do shite except stab a girl. No lead up to mad queen.
........ where do whores go? Sansa’s arc sucked. Night king was a gimp after being a pimp for 7 seasons. This show sucked the big fat one. Children of the forest? Why even show us who they are?

Jon was the hero. He saved the Seven Kingdoms. But being a hero isn’t always glorious, and shouldn’t be

GoT will always have a place in my heart. It was an amazing ride and still top 5 for me.

With that said, I didn’t like the last season and don’t wish to hear/see anymore regarding the show.

I will remember the good times and leave it at that.

So much of the story is in Bran's head and they didn't film a lot of that. So, it appears that Bran doesn't do much because, physically, he doesn't do much after the fall.

Superficially, the story is about Jon and Dany and the grand clash of houses. Actually, the story is about Bran and Tyrion's overcoming their physical limitations and it makes sense they're in charge in the end.

There’s a lot of “excuse making” for a guy who won’t even finish the series of books.

I remember hearing this about a pilot script that GRRM wrote and general people hated.

As bad as the final season was, D&D we’re great at cutting down a pretty bloating book series into a very good series when they had source material.

They're crazy expensive, but aluminum dice "feel" amazing compared to the regular metal sets.
