I think a lot of folks in here will have a problem with the point of view their going for.
I can recommend My Friend Dahmer, which is from the point of view of Dahmer's friends and is based on a graphic novel created by Dahmer's actual high school friend.

I really enjoyed it. They shamelessly shot it like mindhunter, which looks good, just not original.
Half the season is all about Dahmer and then the other half is more from the victim's families. Refreshing to actually see the emotional damage and wreckage left behind and not just focus solely on the monster himself.
Evan Peters and Richard Jenkins will probably both get nominated. they killed it (no pun intended, mostly).

If it goes by the Ryan Murphy formula, the first 3-4 episodes will be awesome and then it will slowly descend into shite. But in this case he's dealing with an already established story, so kind of hard to biff the landing.

Just finished the first episode- Evan Peters is perfect for this role. I don't know how it'll unfold but my worry is that this will just end up being a season-long creepy/gore-porn
