Was very excited when I heard about this. After casting and first look was even more excited but once the backstory started being more explained I have no doubt it will not be good.

Yep I really was digging this as a prequel until the ending of episode 1. Had to spoil it for myself because I didn’t think they would be that stupid to go that direction, but they did.
I’ll finish watching it because it’s entertaining enough, but it ain’t Friday the 13th to me. Should’ve been its own story. It’s going to piss a lot of people off.

It’s bad, IMO. I was hoping this would kick off a new chain of movies but if they go this route, then F that. The story is ridiculous. I finished 2 episodes and I’m done.

Oh get over it. The dude went to space and you’re worried about breaking canon? It’s not even the first Friday the 13th TV series to try something new.
