Saw it last night. Very good movie. Majors was great in this and I felt it was one of Michael B's better performances.

It gave me a similar feel to Top Gun in that there was no nonsense and great, entertaining action.

It's amazing how modern tech and cameras have improved the fight sequences and choreography.

I knew going in that Rocky was not a part of this one but was unaware until today of the drama behind the scenes that led to that. Rocky was really only referenced once but the movie included a lot of throwbacks to the original series.

Would recommend seeing it in theaters. Clean and crisp movie with great fights and a compelling narrative surrounding past relationships. I don't see a need for another one. This wrapped Creed's past and present very well and I don't think they should expand on it anymore, but you know they will try to milk it if it keeps doing well.

We saw it last night. I have never seen Creed 1 or 2. Not on purpose. I love the franchise. Just never got around to either.

My son has been grounded for YouTube so he went through and watched all of Rocky 1-4 (I told him him to skip 5.)

I enjoyed it. majors was amazing as he is in everything, but his flip on Adonis after his first fight was just ridiculous and didn’t make sense.

Acting was great and the final bout was an interesting way to portray 10 rounds.

I do like the Creed movies I wasn't going to watch this movie because of no Stallone but I might give it a chance when it comes out on DVD due to all the good reviews I've been hearing.

The Creed movies are good boxing movies. The thing that made the Rocky movies great was his character, charisma, and quirkiness.

MBJ plays a great creed, but outside of the boxing aspect, Creed and Creed II had none of that outside of Stallone. MBJ doesn’t even embrace Apollo’s charisma.

This movie was terribly mediocre.

Majors was pretty good (hes becoming the best thing in every film he's in) and Jordan was actually better than usual, but it never emotionally engaged me and the storyline had to do so many contortions to make sense, it kind of took you purnof it.

My theater, which was probably 90% black audience, were also openly laughing during parts of the final fight and post-match.

Overall, if you just want to go to the theater for a night out.. It's better than a lot of crap pirbour recently, but don't expect this to be as good as people are touting it. It's pretty far from the good Rocky films, and probably about in line with Rocky V.

I've come away from this month thinking Jonathan Majors is just a fricking fantastic actor. Neither of Ant Man or Creed III were anything special, but he was the best part about both movies.

Saw the early showing Wednesday and been waiting for this thread. I thought it was good, but they at least should have made mention of why Rocky wasn't involved. The fact that he wasn't at a certain solemn event was abysmal imo.

As much as we all dislike Rocky 5, I feel like the street fight vs Tommy would have been a better ending to this movie vs. Dameon. Adonis vs Dameon in the streets surrounded in the streets with hundreds of people streaming it on their phones would have been a much better ending to this than a 3 yr post retirement Adonis beating someone on Drago's level in a heavyweight title fight. It's too much of a fairy-tale

The story was weak as frick. The final fight was one of the worst Rocky-movie fights of all time.

Not sure if this is the spoiler thread or not so I won't go into detail.

Yeah, I went to see it yesterday afternoon. I was optimistic going in, but left extremely disappointed.

I feel that the story had potential, but everything was rushed with zero payoff. Just too many storyline going on, and the plot holes were so egregious that it was impossible to suspend belief.

About where I landed on this

I can’t stand Tessa Thompson. I don’t think she’s that pretty anyway.

And far too much story was devoted to the deaf daughter who they seem to sow the seed of it going in that direction of her boxing as she grows up for potential sequels? I just didn’t care

The final fight , it didn’t have much emotional weight to it like other creed movies did. Never felt like he wasn’t gonna win in the end

Also: the dodger stadium CGI crowd felt like it belonged in a space jam movie: it was so obviously all fake

she is good looking but she dresses like a barista in Austin and not the wife of the heavyweight champion.

Creed III is what happens when you ignore Stallone

The last time this was done was Rocky V

Guess people are actually retarded and never learn

pretty well made shot by shot wise, the plot holes would sink the titanic

majors was awesome, the whole thing felt like it was a paint by numbers exercise to get MBJ a director’s credit and churn out some studio content

we seen this movie so many times

a street fight would have been incredible

dame must have served his time at Kronk Gym State Pen, those are some very small “heavyweights”

I laughed at the announcers speculating ring rust was an issue for adonis and not touching on how a lack of professional training was not an issue for dame

I enjoyed the movie as I have all of the Rocky/Creed universe.

But for the love of all things holy please do not let the next version be about the deaf daughter fighting. No one, and I mean no one wants to see that.
