to me, Doom has Loki potential, as in being the best overall villain for 1-2 phases but never the big bad for the Avengers

lots of trickery, personality, and not being too OP

Doom is so full of himself. If they did it right and went back to the original origin story where Reed Richards try to help correct a calculation error on a illegal experiment and Doom essential told him to go to hell and that hubris is what caused the accident that disfigured is face and turned him into a maniacal narcissist. Doom of course blamed Richards....

I would love to get this origin introduced into one of the MCU movies as a set up for a FF launch

The bold part is why it might have to be JOHNNY DEPP.

Do we have too? I'm am so tired of Johnny Depp! I think he would hurt the movie due to overexposure...

If you think about it, the reason that Robert Downey Jr. was such a PERFECT casting for Tony Stark is that he was basically playing...himself, just like Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool.

Doom is more than a narcissist though. He is highly accomplished.

I also don't think he has the right kind of menacing presence. Doom is a rare combination of genius, ambition, evil, and physicality.

Viggo Mortensen or Daniel Day Lewis then? Javier Bardem?

I see them bringing along Doom more like the villain counterpart to Stark/Iron Man with Loki - like roles and appearances. He’ll be a major player, maybe even the main villain of a big team up, but not the Thanos level villain. That’ll be Galactus or Kang

No Doom does not pose the threat that Thanos did. You don't need the entire Avengers to fight him, the FF maybe.

Mads Mikkelson for Doom.
Doom would be a great villain for Black Panther 3 though. Two rulers and countries going to war.

How TF do you guys all know so much about comic books?

In my early teens I had a subscription to Iron Man and Daredevil.

And I certainly could not tell you much about their stories other than your typical general knowledge.

Did you read them in to adulthood? Not judging, just wondering.

“When you mess with time it tends to mess back”-Tony Stark

Kang/Nathaniel Richards/Iron Lad is the next big bad.

Secret Wars is coming.

You're underestimating the amount of nerds on this board. There are comic book stores in every town almost, yes people read them in to adulthood.

Ultron was dogshit. A live-action Doom would be light years better.

Doubtful. The Dormammu they established with Dr Strange is way too powerful, he only lost on a technicality- he got irritated being in a time loop and couldn't figure it out. Strange has nothing else except the Time Stone for him, and I'd say the rest of the heroes would be in deeper shite (with only Ant Man being able to evade him possibly by dropping into the Quantum Realm, but then Dormammu could potentially pursue him there).

I know there’s been 22 movies, but he was in Dr.Strange people, stop with the Doom casting. He’s out.

Ser Jamie is an interesting choice.
