I fully expect a remake of To Kill A Mockingbird with Ryan Gosling playing Atticus Finch

Doesnt count here. Its a literary classic. You know how many adaptations have been made of the Three Musketeers? Robin Hood?

I was joking. TKAM is a classic movie and I hope Hollywood never tries to remake it. My point was that Hollywood has the potential to frick anything up.

What literary classic was Robin Hood from? That story is based on tales that are centuries old which is why there are so many versions of it.

Egon- James Franco
Ray- Jason Sudeikis
Venkman- Vince Vaughn
Winston- Idris Elba
Louis- Jesse Eisenberg
Janine- Emma Stone

But seriously, don't remake Ghostbusters

80s animation > any CGI crap they'd put into a remake today. It would just be hard to capture the same feeling the original Ghostbusters brought.

There's only been one adaptation though, and it was a perfect adaptation. It's not open really to a different plot in the same way a buddy comedy is. It's like saying that since there have been numerous adaptations of Snow White that there should be numerous Lord of the Rings adaptations.

Which will happen first: A remake of Ghostbusters or Caddyshack?

Aubrey Plaza for Janine.

I actually would see a Ghostbusters reboot/remake if they cast the right people -- Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Seth Rogen, James Franco. It's a good movie, but it isn't a bit of sacred text. Have Seth Rogen as Peter Venkman Jr. and he rounds up a group of guys to take over the family business.
