5 year old me in the 80s loved the one on ET. It’s one of my first movies I can remember watching.

No Starfury yet?

One of the few that actively tried to show real physics by being able to flip it quick to use the thrusters to slow down/redirect

The Earthforce destroyers were pretty great looking too

Kid me: X-wings, Falcon, Vipers
old me: Rocinante

Only ship I hated was that uterus/ballsack hybrid Nell driven by John-Boy

The refit Enterprise is GOAT, but this is a great design.

I believe it's the first Federation starship to be shown that didn't just use the Enterpise model.

A simple design that is clearly a Federation ship without being a copy of the Enterprise.

fun fact: my brother worked for newtek back when B5 was being created and got to work with the producers of the show on adding features to Lightwave; which is what they used for the CGI..on AMIGA computers!

i still favor klingon battleships

just because movie sfx hadn't caught up yet, doesn't make them any less badass.

and the best..the klingon bird of prey
