He and Samuel L. Jackson will be "de-aged" using the wonders of CGI for the film, which is set in the 1990s.

Will they watch Justice League so as to see how not to do it?

They'll add a mustache using CGI to Coulson.

They did it in GOTG 2 and Ant-Man 2.

It's still hard to believe that they fricked Superman's face up that bad in 2018.

Meeting a bullshite deadline will do that to the final product.

Seeing it right off the bat put me in a shite mood for the entire film.

They've done a good job using it in the past. GotG2, CA:CW, and Ant-Man 2 all used it well.

Also did some de-aging in Ant-Man and Captain America: Civil War.

Then in Winter Solider they up-aged Peggy Carter.

This, this is good cgi, not like Grand Moff Tarkin in Rouge One. This is actually convincing.

The theater I saw JL in had the projection misaligned with the screen. this didn't happen until after the trailers played, which pissed me off. I was seeing it on a random weekday and was the only one there, so I had to run out and tell the staff to fix it. By the time I got back, I had missed the scene at the beginning where the CGI frickup occurred. Lucky me I guess

I'll be honest. When I saw Rogue One I said out loud to my brother "He's still alive?". I didn't notice until rewatching it and knowing he was CGId. That means it was good enough for me.

This was amazing in Civil War.

On a related note, anyone remember when the theory was that Coulson would become Vision?

You might need to get your eyes checked by a doctor if you watched Rogue One and thought that was an actual human being. No offense.

When I saw JL I was drunk and didn’t have my glasses. Everything being a bit blurry must have helped.

GOTG2 was the most impressive to me. Ant-man and Civil War did a decent job but still had that uncanny valley feeling. It's always the way the character's mouth moves. For some reason CGI artists have never been able to get it right with human characters and it's a dead giveaway that you're looking at something CGI.

But in GOTG2 I didn't notice it at all. Maybe it's because the angles did have a closeup of the face, or maybe they have just perfected it.

That's exactly what I was thinking that Samuel would have a fro and look like his Shaft character.
