Just getting to that point in my rewatch. She is such a bitch. Deserves every last thing that happens to her and then some.
ETA: Will whomever is downvoting this please explain where I'm wrong. Perhaps it's not as fresh in your mind as it is in mine, but she's a giant bitch to Walt for mostly no reason.

I generally dislike her. Did enjoy her slapping Petrov down though.

Skyler is the least likable character in television ever, IMO.
She's not likable or entertaining, but I definitely think there are worse characters out there.

Don't talk bad about my Jenny. That's all I got to say about that

She was great this season. I noticed she directed several episodes this season too (4 according to IMDB).

frick Both Underwoods. And more to the point frick this show.
If season five isn't the final season im going to stop watching. The show has jumped the shark so many times it's tiresome at this point, but my main complaint is that they face no real consequences for their actions. The show demands you suspend so much disbelief that i have a hard time tolerating it. Outside of the first season, which I enjoyed, the show is a C or B- at best.
There are however aspects that the show does very well, the journalism narratives for example. I've found these storylines to be the most intriguing.
But yeah, if the Underwoods don't finally start experiencing the slow brutal demise they've worked so hard for, I'm going to call it quits. I want them both broken and dead by series end.

Yes she handles the situation poorly but whatever people suck.
Claire puts herself in the situation and handles it poorly. Your husband is in the election of his life but she runs off and plays congresswomen in the hood.

For all of one episode.

I can't think of one. For the record she's a "good" character in the sense that she draws hatred, inspires a response and sets an absolutely miserable tone like most everything else in BB.

Someone made a point in the other HOC thread. If you watch seasons 1 and 2 and think of them as one 26 episode season instead of 2 thirteen episode seasons, and you do the same for seasons 3 and 4, the whole show flows a lot better and a lot of the gripes with season 3 fall away.
Season 3 sucks so much partly because there was a year long break between it and season 4.

shitty ambassador before and now VP
A. the already stretched reality of the show

She plays a role on the show. She provides contrast, motivation, and some level of sympathy for Walter, at least until he goes off the rails completely. The show wouldn't be as good without Skylar. She's a great character and really well acted. If you are coming at it from that angle, she is much better than Claire.

She dominated Petrov though this season. Yea she was a shitty ambassador, but she accomplished a lot in this season.

Yeah, but that just isn't all that believable. It's like they needed something to work for the later developments in the series to be justifiable, so they just made things happen.

Claire is hideous looking to me,
I'm sure many would disagree and call her some kind of "classic beauty" but I agree. Short hair on women looks atrocious over 90% of the time. Also her facial features are a BIT on the masculine side to me...very chiseled.
I've just never found her attractive in any way.
