Studios actually don’t get union data.
Also, studios do not hire the writers room. The Showrunner does. The studio hires the Showrunner.
The way people think this shite works is amazing.

So you're trying to own me with semantics? I'm sorry...but the showrunner REPORTS to the studio and does the bidding of the studio. Kathleen Kennedy is the studio, she hires a showrunner/director with certain stipulations on what she wants to see in regards to cast, crew, and story, and that showrunner obeys or gets replaced.

Writers and directors aren't hired anymore, they are cast. Just like actors. They're there to fill out a checkbox of diversity and inclusion. (See latest Disney Star Wars announcement on the Rey Palpatine movie)
