I don't see what's stopping them from watching TV when they are out of the house. Is MTV going to prohibit a bar from having TVs on when they load up the bus and head in? I doubt it, but maybe.
Now with the RW, that's a little different because they're going out every night.

They google a lot of shite. There are no rules there. They aren't allowed to go to any bar they want though. The show selects which ones they can go to based on who allows them to film.
