Of course she isn’t Kree. 
But she’s “made” into Kree. She’s certainly not a Skrull. There’s a YouTube video out there that explains some memories as fake to hide her past. Meaning the Kree aren’t exactly the good people she initially thinks they are. And it explains why she doesn’t want to fight for either side in the war and just ends it herself. All speculation but a really good theory.

I've been thinking the same thing. The Captain Marvel in the comics I always pictured having a stronger presence - she's a military officer and a powerful hero. She should exude confidence, and Bree Larson doesn't QUITE give me that impression.
I'll be happy if I'm wrong though.

Voice matters. Will it break the movie? No probably not. Definitely something in the not positive column though. The supporting cast is talented so we’ll see.
