Really not sure why people want it to flop so bad.

blueboy's theater was "almost empty" opening weekend and he bit hard on the troll boycott. It failed in spectacular fashion and he's trying to save face. Across all of his accounts.

How do you know it failed - CM could have done $2 billion if Brie had kept her pie hole closed. This might have been the 2nd Black Panther - or bigger. $1 b should have been the floor (maybe basement) expectation for this movie. As everyone with a brain knows, it's expectations that drive Wall Street. At best this movie met the lowest expectations, which would equal a C- (maybe even a D+). When you took your D+'s home to momma did she pat you on the head and say "way to go, Bukie"

You think a blockbuster has to sell out for 8 weeks.
Your opinion is invalid.

Her comments cost the film $1 billion? Y'all are even more sensitive than I thought.
Still, $1 billion is a huge success.

Oh goodness. I don't think I have ever seen goalposts moved quite like this. First, this movie was going to be a huge flop, possibly the biggest flop of any MCU movie that could potentially even ruin the entire franchise. Then, once Captain Marvel had a great opening weekend. The narrative was changed that the movie was bad and would have absolutely no legs at all. Now all of a sudden that Captain Marvel has surpassed almost all expectations and just might sniff a billion, well it is still a massive disappointment because it could've hit 2 billion.
This is pathetic. Why don't you just admit that you were wrong about this movie. It's ok I promise.

My 9yr old daughter loved it, like absolutely loved it. Now she wants to watch the other MCU movies.
Some people will find fault and or something to be mad about in anything.

Saw it last night. Thoroughly enjoyed the flick, even with the over-the-top girl power stuff.
Spoiler question below
Unless I missed something I got a bit confused, when the engine exploded was it the core that exploded giving her the powers?
Was the core the “Tesserak” or did it just draw power off the tesserak and this power was what exploded giving her the gifts? I’m just a bit sketchy on what exactly happened there and how the tesserac was still in one piece if it had exploded.
TIA

Basically the engine was a fusion reactor powered by energy from the tessaract. When it exploded, it blended with her dna sort of how the radiation and serum gave Cap and Hulk their powers.

Your bias is showing.

Shes a mutant and the Tesseract unlocked her powers. When the engine exploded (which was powered by the Tesseract) the powers of the space stone absorbed into her - this would have killed a normal human, but she isnt normal. None of this is fleshed out yet, but will be going forward now that Disney has the rights to the entire Marvel universe (sans Spidey). This is exactly how they retconned Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, back before they could use the word "mutant". The mind stone unlocked latent abilities within otherwise normal humans - mutants.

The key to trolling is subtlety, and this is not it

Muchos graciazz
I never read any of the comics back in the day with her, was she a mutant in the comics?

nah this is all MCU canon. nothing in the comics is necessarily canon in the MCU.

Your post is completely false lol.

That's a big assumption to make based on Disney buying Fox. Especially since nothing in her comic past comes close to her being a mutant.
I also don't think they need to retcon her or Wanda as mutants to bring in the X-Men

I'm not assuming it based on the merger, I'm basing it on thats literally what they did with the Twins in AoU. They are mutants ("enhanced" pre merger) whose abilities were unlocked by an infinity stone. Considering Carol Danvers is 100% human and we witnessed the explosion with no merging of human and kree dna, how would you like to explain her not being blown to smithereens?

By the plot device of being exposed to the omnipotent abilities of an infinity stone just like the twins.
Is that plot device somehow less believable then Spider-Man getting his powers from a radioactive spider bite?
