There is no maybe about this movie doing the same numbers it's doing today if it was in phase 1.
Right, because it's a fact.

Dude, I straight up said if it was released in phase 1 in 2008 it wouldn't be hitting a billion.
So... are you sure you actually processed what I posted?
The domestic would not be equal, which you sure seem to imply it maybe would be. If I didn't read you right, I apologize.

What would it be?

At least $1 less than it's doing in 2019.

So better than Iron Man?
That wasn't so difficult.

Link to me saying it wouldn't do better than Iron Man. You're not even trying anymore.

Fine, I'll grant you a dollar less.

Nope.
I'll just add this point to the list.

I mean, yeah. I told you from the start that I was here to point our your stupid points. You didn't think that changed, did you?

I just want to pop in and say that this thread has been spectacular from an entertainment standpoint.
I'll be seeing CM tomorrow. I can only hope it's as quality as this thread.

All I know is you've taken one perfectly reasonable, harm;less post about this movie and turned it into another 2 plus pages of shite. Don't really know what you get out of this, but good for you.

Prepare for disappointment.
This board and Captain Marvel together. Forget it.

You've done that on your own by arguing with me about it. Your post was stupid. I pointed it out. You could've just accepted that. You didn't, and here we are.

We don't know what the domestic would be if this movie would be dropped in '08. You can't say with certainly it wouldn't reach the same amount it's getting now. In '08 general audiences weren't conditioned to expect Marvel wackiness. I have no idea how people would react to a cat that eats people with tentacles that shoot out of it's mouth. The special effects would be a huge deal back then when now it's more of a "Yawn... it didn't look terrible" reaction b/c we've become so incredibly spoiled.

It wasn't stupid though. You just needed another argument

Yes it was. I even tried to be nice about it, and only called it "pointless."
I've sort of explained why. If you can stop being a little bitch and ask nicely, I'm happy to break it down for you.

I absolutely can, and you can too if you're being honest with yourself. None of the Phase 1 origin movies made the money this movie is making domestically, and only Iron Man was anywhere close.

I'm sure you'll go one for 2 more pages regardless of what I actually say, so knock yourself out.
