Such an underrated movie and great cast
William H. Macy, Hank Azaria, Ben Stiller, Geoffrey Rush, Greg Kinnear, Wes Studi, Claire Forlani, Pall Ruebens, Tom Waits are all in fine form.
Also just found out that Tony P. turned into a woman

A sequel would have been terrible. Glad they let the one movie speak for itself.

Eddie Izzard was performing stand-up in "women's" clothing in the 1980s.

I saw it in the theaters and thought it was terrible.

i always appreciated that he just kept it at drag, but i think he's gone full tilt.
which is fine, but he always claimed he was a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

Mystery Men is number one. All others are number two or lower.

Let me get this straight you’re invisible but only if no one is looking?
Went through a period where I watched this and so I married an ax murderer a ton.

I had completely forgotten this line. Used to use it all the time

That's a rough looking 61. I'm three years older & bald, but I don't look near that rough, with or without makeup!

Same here. I barely remember the movie but that quote stuck out when I read it.

So many great lines. To this day I constantly say “Red eyes, red eyes, red eyes.. I didn’t expect to see you so..SPOON”
My kids haven’t seen MM but still laugh every time. The line stands on its own.
