Poe doesn’t save anyone or do anything in the movie
He’s inconsequential to the conclusion
So is Finn, Poe and leia
Total screen time for these inconsequential, uninteresting and poorly written characters? At least dern did something in the movie even if it was just driving a ship into a ship

Poe led the initial bombing run and learned a lesson in how to be a leader.
Leia taught him that lesson.

That's not fair. He openly defied Purple Dern and sent the Stormtrooper Janitor and SPCA Escape Pod Guard to go get a guy that betrayed them and led to most of the escape transports getting destroyed and he would have been directly responsible for the extermination of the entire Resistance if Purple Dern didn't valiantly sacrifice her life to save his arse.

Because diversity for diversity’s sake kind of eliminates the point, wouldn’t you say? No one likes to be beat over the head with something.
You’re approaching this from the viewpoint that we hate the characters because they are of a different race. The characters are garbage and serve no purpose other than to further an agenda.

Because it can be part of the story. It just can’t be the only story.
People didn’t hate Ghostbusters because they hate women. They hated Ghostbusters because it was a bad movie that portrayed every man as an incompetent assclown. The climactic battle is literally the girls shooting the male ghost in the Dick.
Want to see how a diverse cast works? Watch Brooklyn 99. The cast has incredible chemistry with each other. And the diverse plots are a part of the story, but are rarely the story. The captain is a gay black man portrayed incredibly by Andre Baugher. And they can make the obvious jokes without fear of reprisal or referendum to make a statement because he’s part of the team and they speak to each other the way friends and family would.
The Last Jedi sacrifices better plots in order to make the message work. I say again what the hell was the reason the female admiral didn’t share her plans with the crew other than to make a statement on Poe? Leia clearly communicated the roles of everyone in the evacuation of Hoth and that worked out really well. Why would she now be so concerned? And let’s not forget that the incredible setup that the ships couldn’t track transports was beyond stupid and directly contradicted by how many times Star Destroyers chased the Falcon. Or how bout the fact the the rebels had to shoot ion cannon blasts to disable the Star Destroyers put in place to blockade the same size transports.
Poe did exactly what Han would’ve done in Empire. The way it played out with Rose and Finn was terribly done but doesn’t take away from the point.

You know what's funny to me?

I like the fact that the Star Wars tards will tell you it has nothing to do with diversity, and it's just that the characters are bad (Rose and Finn are forgettable characters), and then turn around and bitch about DA LIBERAL AGENDUHH and DA SJW bullshite being shoved down their throat.
