Buddy - Rotten Tomatoes
Who else has seen Buddy? What an unhinged ride this was. Good to see the horror/thriller genre deliver some creativity. This wasn’t the best movie I’ve seen in 2026 but easily the best theater experience. Theater was near full on a Tuesday night. I think this’ll get bigger as word of mouth spreads on social media.

I liked it, but then again I used to like the surreal late night Adult Swim analog horror type so it was right up my alley

I saw it last Sunday. It's pretty funny at times rather than scary. It has a short run time also, which is a nice change.

If you enjoyed this type of lunacy, depravity, and genuine what the frick moments? Then you should try Casper Kelly's previous directorial work.

I mean none of my points are weird if you have interacted with movies at any level above seal clapping at comedy and explosions
Has a movie ever made you cry or feel some other sort of emotion besides joy or happiness? Do you find it weird that movies explore dark themes and events in order to invoke those feelings? Do you believe that something happening in a movie implies that the creators or audience are implicitly enjoying or approving of everything happening in the plot?
And to be clear, it’s perfectly fine to not have interest in watching a movie. I just think it’s kind of childish to write off all movies that have something like that in it when it’s a movie. It’s like your kid being scared that the boogeyman is real because they saw it in Halloweentown or asking you if the bad guys in the latest Pixar movie are real
