Frankie Muniz was on Steve-O's podcast and was asked about doing a Malcolm in the Middle revival. Says Cranston has been pushing it for years in the form of a movie and has worked on a script for it.

The show was only good for a season or two, but somehow went on for 7 seasons. It was slightly above average as far as family comedies go. Is there even enough interest for this?

I’m sure they could fold Frankie Muniz’s memory loss into the show and make it funny

I always pretend it's the prequel to Breaking Bad taking place around BCS.

What a shite take. The last 2 seasons were kinda weak. But the show as a whole was superb and way more clever than people remember.

Agree. The episode at Burning Man was great. Well written and original.

I loved the alternate Breaking Bad ending where Cranston wakes up from a dream (ala Newhart) and tells Lois he dreamed he was a meth dealer

I'm not about the reboot/revival/sequel stuff going on in film right now but I'd enjoy watching Cranston try and get back into the mindset of Hal again with all the drama he's done since Breaking Bad.

That was fantastic. I was expecting some terrible voice-overdubbed garbage.

When did they do that?

The family goes to Burning Man. Malcolm loses his virginity to Rosanna Arquette. Hal's paranoia about keeping his boss's RV immaculate becomes a piece of performance art. That one episode sets it head and shoulders above most sitcoms
