It could've been done on purpose but it's not a big deal. Walt saying he needs 737K and then episodes later a 737 crashes...
Ok I've been smoking a lot today.. and just to clarify, you're saying that the only episodes featuring the crash, (a season which book ends by the way) literally spells out "737 down over abq" was done unintentionally?

You're right. It was probably just a coincidence.

I love this thread. Breaking Bad is my all-time favorite.
Now I wanna binge it again.

I'll start by saying I'm not smoking today. I'm sure Gilligan did do this intentionally, and that makes me hate it. Not the show, just the idea that he thought this would somehow be profound. It's something that could only be noticed in hindsight, and it adds nothing to the depth or enjoyment of the actual episodes. It's a bad example of cleverness for cleverness' sake.

What a ridiculous thing to hate. Just ignore it and watch episodes. Ignore the BS surrounding.
I can see being ambivalent, but hate?
Taking this FAR to serious.

Well the one before Jesse and Walts real deal fight lol lead up to it

Planes crash into each other above Walt’s home and the air traffic controller responsible is the dad of the girl Walt let die? Give me a fricking break.
Breaking Bad is good but a lot of it jumps the shark.
Who was on crack when they wrote season 5 and responsible for that all over the place acid trip?

It’s totally acceptable to use the phrase as a turning point for a character when they turn towards immorality. It’s funny dudes on here try to be a lot smarter than they really are by insisting a term only can be used the same way one dude used it.
Interesting melt. Don’t take it so personally

Watched this for the first time. Heard people talk about it. Finally watched since the world is pretty much shite down. Took a couple weeks to go through it. What a great show.

The Walt/Walt Jr engine revving scene at the beginning of season 5 is so bad it almost ruins the whole show.

Kind of funny that the most controversial episode of the series is named “Fly”
i think polarizing is the word you are looking for, not controversial.

I’ve never seen anyone take this scene seriously enough to complain about it until now.

Rian Johnson is such a ****. That kind of corny bullshite is all over the Last Jedi. It’s so out of place and kills the continuity of the show. Breaking Bad comes to a screeching halt during that scene.
