Borgia: should I keep going?

For those who've watched, is the rest of the show so full of bad writing and acting as the first episode? Should I just quit now?
The subject matter is sort of my thing, so I can handle adversity, but is it worth it?

I enjoy the show. I really liked the second season. Took some time to get going in the first season.

Not talking about the showtime series with Jeremy Irons right?

Haven't seen J Irons yet, but the series is showtime.
What's up with showtime anyway? Can't they afford good writers? (Tudors, another subject matter I should be drawn to like a moth to a flame

I enjoy the show. I'm in the middle of season 2 watching it on demand. This season is better than the first. But season 1 picked up steam around episode 4 IMO.
The show isn't for everyone but I like this style of show.
I disagree with the bad writing and bad acting comment. But I'm not an expert.

Yeah. The Showtime show is called The Borgias, and I've only seen the first episode, but Irons is in it a lot.
There's another show on Instant Netflix called Borgia, which is what I suspect you are watching. I looked at the member reviews and most were saying they liked it, but I never watched.

Oh, disregard my other post. I thought we were talking about the Borgias on Showtime.

....apparently I'm not watching the showtime one (it's on netflix instant, and exclusively so from what it looks like).

my bad, didn't realize there was something else. That would explain why you haven't seen Jeremy Irons.
