What ?? do you think would be great on screen?

Rangers apprentice - I'm on book 3 right now and I would love to see AMC/HBO make this into a series. No, it won't have all the sex scenes but I think it would be a great series.

Dresden Files

Yes I know they had one terrible season that was loosely based on the books, but this series deserves a screen adaptation that is done right.

The Foundation series by Asimov is another one. Modern tech would turn this into a stunning piece of television

I could dig this actually. Sahara wasn't good but I thought the casting was solid.

Master and Commander as a series. There are 20 books of material. Aubry/Maturin have a dynamic that is very close to Kirk/Spock. I think they were planning on a series of movies but people would rather see Pirates of the Caribbean in a theater. But there have been a lot of intelligent TV shows since and I think it would work very well with a good cast.

That's a good pick. Zelazny's Amber series would make a good TV series though they would have to work on the plot some after the first several books.

Zelazny's Lord of Light could be a fantastic movie. That was actually the movie they were pretending to make in Argo. It would be tricky to pull it off since a lot of it is so subtle and it jumps back and forth in time and characters change bodies. But all the action scenes are spelled out and would work very well on a big screen.
