Bloodline...probably old but

I have about 4 episodes left so don't spoil it for me.
Not bad, not great. A bit of a slog.
I am really just wondering what others think as a way to evaluate my taste in programming.

After 1 season it had top 10 potential for me but feel off considerably.
Someone correct me as I may be off, but didn’t the state of Florida not renew their tax breaks for the 3rd season so they had to do something weird and film off site and rush it?
Still a good overall series. Coach Taylor can do no wrong in my book.

Yes, Florida pulled their tax credits for the show so they either would have had to move (not possible since the locations were such a huge part of the show) or wrap up early in 3 seasons when the writers said they planned on 5.
So season 3 they just threw together a rushed ending which was pretty horrible, which sucks because of how great the show was before

A real shame the rug was pulled out from under them and they weren’t able to tell the full story they intended to

It sucked that because of money issues due to Florida law changing that Linda Cardellini missed most of the last season.

I came to say exactly this. I wish they would put up this warning in big huge flashing lights before you're allowed to start watching it.
Season 1 was ELITE. Absolutely outstanding TV. Season 2 was right there with it, also superb. 3 kinda fizzled a bit and then we got a completely shitty, rushed, wtf ending. But it's no fault of the writers or creator so I can't really blame them. I still go back and watch seasons 1 nad 2 every couple years.

I had to give it up. Not because of poor quality, but I just could not continue with the bad decisions and downward spirals of the characters. Just not my thing. The show actually made me feel bad.

I have no issue crapping on 3 but I strongly disagree with 2 being lumped in with it. 2 was awesome and only a small notce below 1, IMO.
Season 1 we know the big main thing that happens becuase they show us in the first like 3 minutes. Then the rest of the season is seeing how it actually plays out. But season 2 we have the story of them trying to cover it up and stay 1 step ahead of things which to me was just as thrilling.
Dammit now I want to watch bloodline again.

Season 1 was so good and set the bar so high that almost anything was going to suffer from a letdown. I did a rewatch a while back to see if I remember correctly and I steamrolled through S1, made it though S2 and ended up just quitting somewhere in S3. I just couldn’t bear it.

season 1 was sooooo good. i can't even remember the plot points of seasons 2 and 3.
