Unfortunately, one of the funniest jokes of the movie, Hedy v. Hedley Lamarr, is completely lost on most people who see it.

I watched this movie several times growing up and never got it.

In my intro to EE class, the Professor spent a lot of time talking about Hedy Lamarr and I laughed out loud. Guy next to me said "what's so funny?
" I told him I had to watch Blazing Saddles again.

I think most people knew that Alex Karras was a former NFL player. He was an All Pro.

He also later became the dad on "Webster"

Also was a Monday Night Football announcer for a short while.

Mongo only pawn in game of life.

Alex Karras was a Bada55 on the field. Of course...he was also Mr. Papadapolis on Webster...so I guess it balanced out.
