0For those who haven't watched the show, you need to get off your ass, it's fantastic, but I recommend not reading further.
Anyway, I cannot find the clip anywhere, but Edward 'Blackbeard' Teach's death has got to be the most brutal scene in television history. It's brilliantly executed, but so hard to watch, and you just can't unsee it.

A few from sons of anarchy were in the same feel, but black sails pulled off something on a much larger scale. And you're right, it's something you don't forget.

I've seen another with some historians saying that that scene was the most accurate portrayal of keelhauling ever put on film, but I can't find it. Ray Stevenson was brilliant in the show in general but that scene was just unreal.

on 3/2/21 at 6:17 am to weaveballs1I didn’t realize what was happening at first but yeah it was brutal. That one scene in the tavern in season two where the guy is held down on the table in middle of a crowded bar... you have no idea why he’s screaming and then you hear the “thud” and roll.

For the OP, even though the show had fully jumped shark at that point Tara’s death in SOA was pretty brutal.

That was pretty rough, I probably forgot about it because the show had gone from "Must watch" to "I'll get around to it eventually " at that point.
