In case you haven't watched it, "F is for Family" is also awesome Bill Burr (animated).

Watched it and he says what most of us want to say all the time. Pretty damn funny.

I thought it was hilarious, very on brand for Bill Burr. I did not find the black guy very funny, but other than that I loved it.

It was garbage. Some funny parts but in the end his insufferable, bitchy wife and the insufferable, bitchy teacher taught Bill Burr his lesson, which is to never stand up for yourself ever.

I got through half of it last night. It got very few laughs. Just Bill Burr acting like you would expect him to act when dealing with psycho far left progressives. I don’t think I will finish it.

This is exactly how I felt about it. I pretty much hated every character.

Spoiler, i guess:

his weepy apology at the end begging for forgiveness from his wife and kid and saying "daddy messed up" was just too much. like...what did daddy mess up exactly? he stood up for himself against a tyrannical school headmaster who was being a completely unreasonable, bullying bitch to him. his wife locked him out of his own house (which, presumably, he provided to her) and threatened divorce because he stood up to the headmaster and all the other virtue signaling bullies and called them out on their bullshite. and in the end, he apologizes and cries as she looks on smilingly with the knowledge that he has been Put In His Place.

frick that.

Ok, but did it make you laugh while all of this was going on?

yeah there were some funny parts, but viewed holistically, the funny parts were castrated by the ending.

it was as if Bill Burr's standup routine, which i love, had a caveat at the very end where he said "just kidding, i dont really think any of that"

I've watched the trailer and was interested, but if this is how it ends then it would be a similar experience to Law Abiding Citizen where they could cut the last 5 minutes and have a significantly better movie

I watched this and throughout it I thought it was a mockery of todays pussified America. But the ending changed that. Burr is getting soft as he gets older. I saw him do a stand up show in College Station and it was not even close to being as good as his older stuff. I think it is the influence of his wife that is making him not as funny as he used to be.

facts. as someone else posted in this thread, "art imitates life", which truly appears to be the case with BB. it's a bummer.

I agree with bill and his character but i can't watch this shite. It's not funny when I know people actually act that way. I spend all my free time avoiding modern society to be away from the feeling masters.

ETA: i made it until the school apology when the chick said " even though i wasnt there"..

It is PC because he's the angry white man that needs help. He also has a line or two that's obviously taking shots at conservatives.
