yeah, i like the idea that the LO fought back against what looked like a stronger alliance.
But, it's basically 7 vs 3 now. So, it would be boring until it comes down to the 7.

So will this twist start now? Thursday? Will Taylor HOH be affected? I was hoping she would get a regular HOH week that she can enjoy.

While this twist sounds somewhat better than most twists they come up with, I hate the idea of any twist. I have yet to see a twist that doesn't hinder gameplay to some extent. I wish we could just get a twist-less season, but I guess that will never happen.
So here is a quick recap of what happened last night on the feeds that I grabbed from reddit:
So here is a quick recap of what happened last night on the feeds that I grabbed from reddit:
quote:
A brief recap of the night: Taylor wins HOH. Promptly tells Jasmine she’s safe, she won’t do that to her on her birthday. Tells Alyssa she’s safe, and she wants to protect the showmance. Gets HOH room, has one on ones, promises all of the girls safety. Leads them to believe Monte is the target. Monte, Britt, and Turner come in and she tells them her plan of putting Monte and Turner up as pawns to backdoor Terrance. They’re like uhhh….they have to explain to her that’s not a good idea lol. She’s receptive to their talk, understands she messed up promising safety/no block to everyone. Britt/Turner/Monte have a convo downstairs realizing she was confused, talk strat, Britt and Monte are on same page. They go back up and Britt and Monte tag team to keep Taylor on track, help her see all of the options and remind her that she owes none of those people anything/that they only care about her now because she’s HOH but really they’re shite people lol. Joseph comes and Kyland’s for a while, tries to push an Alyssa or a Jasmine. Taylor almost bites. LO meeting (minus Kyle) happens for a bit, they go in circles on best noms, eventually settle on Indy/Terrance with Terrance as target.
A lot more happened but I’m so tired after staying up so long, I can’t type everything out ?? hope this helps a bit at least to keep y’all updated

ALL of this!
the idea was to lock a group of folks from different walks of life in a house, cut off from the world and see what happens.
it's no longer that. it's more like how can we put the people in the house and control the game to get our desired outcome.

I usually agree with no twists but this one is perfect to counter majority alliances. The last few seasons have suffered from having a majority group steamroll the early and mid game.

I'm not sure that we can yet say whether or not this twist will counter the LOs. I've seen speculation that what could happen is that this week plays out, and then next week the house is split into 2 separate houses with each playing their own weeks so that it'll basically be a double eviction.
So basically the theory is it'll be:
-taylor’s hoh eviction
-split into groups, two separate hoh’s
-two separate noms
-two separate vetos
-two separate veto ceremonies
-two separate evictions with two people leaving.
So if this ends up actually happening, the non-LOs will still be outnumbered in each group and targeted. The one good thing is that we'll be getting to the LO civil war much faster which is is fine by me I guess.
Again, this is just speculation on how the twist will work, but my point is that we really don't know how this twist will end up working. I still stand by my stance that I hate all twists, and just wish we could have a regular, non-twist season for once.

Have Monte And Joseph as team captains, coin flip for who gets first pick, and pick teams like playground days. That should cause some drama.

What if the people who both get evicted have a battle back ? And one person goes home; I doubt they want to finish the season in 4 weeks haha

It's definitely possible. But I'm sure that they planned out the season with at least 1 double eviction in mind, so this twist could be their "double eviction" for this season. I would actually prefer it like this than a normal double eviction.
But as long as they don't do a freaking triple eviction, then I don't care either way. Those triple eviction totally kill the big alliance civil wars.

Hmmmm… I wonder who would get picked last

So Taylor went through with nominating Terrence & Indy.
Now get this. Joseph has offered himself to go up as a renom if the veto gets used. I don't know what in the heck the dude is thinking. He has been gaming way to hard for the last couple of weeks, but if he ends up pooching himself this week...

5:35 PM PT Joseph says he's willing to go on the block to prove how much he trusts her. He promises to NOT win the Veto so she can sub him in and hide the alliance.

5:43 PM PT Joseph says Monte is ready to go to war with the other side of the house. Joseph thinks they need to be more subtle. Joseph says that putting him up as a replacement will squelch any thoughts of a showmance.
quote:
5:51 PM PT Joseph says take your shot at me and they'll be fine with me staying. Joseph says would you prefer to save Indy or Terrance? Taylor says she'd leave Terrance on the block. Michael enters HOH.

Joe must be goin crazy lol
He said that he has ADHD, and refuses to take medication for it. It makes a lot of sense because the guy is nonstop gaming 24/7 and constantly talks on top of people.
I mean kudos to him for making it all the way through law school with ADHD without taking Ritalin or Adderall or whatever. But I'm sure it makes playing Big Brother a lot harder, especially if your so bored that you are actively trying to be a pawn.

I thought Michael was the lawyer

Michael is a practicing public defendant. Joseph finished law school and I believe he's passed the bar, but he's not practicing yet.

Ahh didn’t know that.
What’s his cover story? Fitness trainer or something?

Yeah, Joseph's cover is fitness training, and Michael's is an escape room worker.

Not necessarily. I'm hoping for some production tapering and we get one group with all LOs and the other with 2 members.

Didn't want to start a new thread and figured all interested in BB would be here.
I have started a rewatch of S8 (Dick, Daniele and Jen) and holy frick that season was nuts. More nuts than I remembered.
It started early with poor Jenius sobbing over here poor BB picture and just went from there.
