this isn't related to that but your post made me think of it...
it blows me away how some people don't understand simple, basic concepts of playign BB. That was made perfectly clear last night during the tail end of the HOH comp.
First, zakiyah. There's like fricking 6 people left swinging and she's trying to make a deal. Taht's not how it works idiot. She literally went down the row to every person..."if i drop am i safe?" "if i drop am i safe?" Might as well have just offered everyone in the house that question and dropped within 5 seconds. I mean it's obvious you're struggling and about to fall, why would someone honor that deal?
Next was natalie. She and vic are final 2 left so at that point a deal actually means something/makes sense. So vic is just chilling like it's a lazy sunday afternoon at grandma's house and nat is absolutely struggling bad. So she wants safety assurance that she won't be put up if she goes ahead and drops. Vic says ok. Then she's like "great thanks...but actually I'm just gonna try to hold on a little longer". That defeats the entire point of a deal! At this point you're simply playing still and going as long as you can!
I'm being a tiny bit hypocritical because in the past I've said I would like for people to be in the house who know nothing about the game so they aren't automatically trying to enter a shomance or come up with shitty alliance names. But I mean a simple, casual understanding of some of these basics would be awesome.

That happens every season, even on Survivor. It doesn't really bother me though. By that point they're struggling against themselves more than the other person and want to prove to themselves they can outlast the other person.

right...so that makes the deal irrelevant. If the asker is going to hand on until the bitter end until they physically can't hang on anymore, they've tried their best and didn't quite make it. What incentive is there for the winner to honor a deal? There isn't one...they both went for it all and one person won.
The whole point of making deals in that situation is if you CAN still go for a while but would just rather not and go ahead and end the thing, so you're essentially "giving" HOH to the other person in exchange for safety. There is mutual benefit to both parties. In nat/vics situation, there was no mutual benefit. And don't get me going again on teh absurdity of zakiyah's "deals".

They edited that conversation. They were up there for around an hour just the two of them.
They both said that they wouldn't put the other person up, but they both wanted to go for it because they wanted a letter from their moms.
Natalie was definitely whining and playing the pity card, but they had made a deal that they would go for it but wouldn't put each other up.

see that changes things a bit, but yeah I didn't catch that part on the live air.

catching up on last nights conversations, seems like Michelle actually went to work last night on James and is going to make this eviction interesting.

I bet big Meech wishes she saved Frank and flipped the house with him now. She would've been more liked by America if she went through with that. She was always low on the totem pole with this other group, and her fear of making the other half upset was going to screw her in the end.
I have to give props to Nat last night for asking James if there was an all-boys alliance. The other girls will never win unless they realize this and get out of their showmances and go after the numbers. Otherwise, they'll be picked off one by one. Nicole will only make it so far if they start evicting all the girls, so they need to make some big moves if one will ever win an HOH.

Nah, I can see it getting to 7 and the 2 showmances deciding to team up to get out Paul, Paulie and Vic.

As expected , Paulie didn't use veto.
Lol if Z goes home this week.

I know it's not in her character.....but I would love to see Bridgette taunt Michelle and Z about being on the block together.
"Sucks when it's you and your good friend on the block together doesn't it bitches?!"

That would be glorious but you're correct, it's not in Bridgettes character.
Groundwork may have been laid for a james/nat/bridge/meech alliance to take down Paulie.
Will hinge on Thursdays eviction and DE.
paulie now telling everyone what they want to hear. seems like he now wants to put james and Nic up during the DE
its like he already knows Z is gone and is making adjustments to his endgame plan already

James needs to worry about Paul at this point in time, not Paulie. Paul has it out for him, and is trying his damnedest to convince Paulie that they need to get James out during the DE.
Posted on 8/8/16 at 2:29 pm to Bamatab
apparently big meech actually called Paulie out during the veto ceremony about his comp wins and how hes running the house.
welcome to the game, michelle.

For a supposed superfan she is a massive idiot.
I REALLY wish I could see her reaction after BB to what the internet really thinks about her

Her best friend, if she has one, needs to tell her to delete her reddit account and never check that sub again.

She has been, but she hasn't really needed to be "smart" or strategic until this week. Nobody ever mentioned putting her on the block and she was a textbook floater, though she was in an alliance. Perhaps this has woken her up and it will make the game interesting.

Oh I bet Z was pissed at Paulie. Now might be the right time to get her out before she blows his game up

And you would lose that bet. Z just interrupted Paulie and Paul's game talk because she wants to take a nap and snuggle up with Paulie.
