Better to watch the last season GoT weekly or wait until the end and binge?

Im contemplating whether I should watch weekly or just wait until the entire season has been released to binge.

Which method would be more satisfying?

Getting excited about the new episode each week is a large part of the fun for me

This. Maybe I’m just old but I like a slow burn and looking forward to shite. Always seems more enjoyable than when it’s just spoon fed in massive amounts.

I've been watching week to week since season one. I think I will stay with that methodology.

You will inevitably get spoiled. It is the only show I watch live. I don’t even watch most sports live. I record and start about 30-60 minutes in.

The show is absolutely massive now. Viewership numbers are insane for a pay channel

Maybe if you don’t use social media or your place of employment is an older demo you could be safe

My wife and I make a big thing about it each week. Always getting various snacks and drinks. I probably prep more stuff for GOT weeks than the super bowl

I really prefer to wait until the end, but the show is WAY too popular.

You are going to get spoiled. It sucks because it forces me to watch it weekly which I usually avoid doing for shows that I love.

Binge the whole series before the start to get reacquainted then watch week by week then binge the last season after the finale, the second watch almost always reveals things you didn't see especially when you know what is coming.

This is the way I watch epic shows every year and it is always very satisfying to me.

Watching the final season of Breaking Bad unfold weekly with my friends, while scrolling through the comments of people on here and elsewhere on the internet, remains one of my favorite experiences.

I have to imagine it'll be a similar experience for fans of GoT. I'd prepare a steak for it every week.

Weekly.

Binge has problems, someone is likely to spoil things. That's because people are going to want to discuss each episode... which you'll miss out on if you wait.

Also, you're going to miss the buildup/anticipation on certain things. Consider: Season 5, episode 10- Jon Snow gets stabbed in the chest and left on the ground bleeding out. Wonder what happens. Hmm, press 'play' and watch the next episode right away, it's resolved. You miss all the speculation and theories that make this fun. Now granted, that was a season ending, but still, there's probably something coming.

The “proper” way I think is to watch the episode. Then listen to a podcast that breaks it down. Then rewatch the episode.

Provided you have 3 hours a week.

The most important loose end they MUST tie-up is what happens when Tyrion walks into a brothel with a honeycomb and a jackass...

Tease me once and it is a throwaway, tease me twice (5 seasons later) and you must provide me with an answer.

BTW I do know the "guess" as to the answer, but I must hear Tyrion finish it.

I've been watching GoT lore videos on youtube that have a lot of backstory which are awesome.

Both.

GOT is easily my favorite show on a second watch. There is so much content in the conversations that I miss the first time around.
