Kramer For 9 seasons. And in that time he did some amazing things physically speaking on the show. Dude threw his body around like a rag doll.

Good point.

Funny you should post gifs from Liar, Liar… that’s one movie Carrey was criticized for overacting in.

I upvoted you, however, because I’m a Carrey fan and that shite is funny.

Does overacting disqualify someone from performing physical comedy?

Guess I'm the only one who never found Carrey funny as a comedian or actor (with the exception of Dumb and Dumber).

Context is key… he was doing things in the late 80s/early 90s that nobody else was doing. I want to go back and re-watch some of his movies that I didn’t care for when I was younger. Cable Guy comes to mind… released at the same time as The Nutty Professor, which 14 year old me thought was hilarious. Cable Guy was too dark for my tastes then. I bet it plays better now.

Fire Marshall Bill was hilarious and was mainly his physical comedy.

Who the hell criticized him for this? How do you overact in a movie where the actor can't tell a lie? It seems like his acting in Liar Liar was as good as possible given the premise.

He's referring to an outtake when it was said as a joke.

The actress playing opposing lawyer role said it. Thought it was funny.

Let’s not pretend he didn’t deserve it though.

Richards was a master of the subtle flinch and jump scare. But nothing on par with Jim Carrey.

The scene where he is describing driving the bus and kicking off the robber comes to mind as one that was hilarious, physical, and executed perfectly.
