Are we really 4 pages into this thread without any calling for M/TV Board.
-my vote goes for Hartman for show performance.
-Fallon broke character too much
-Al Franken can suck my balls.
-Murray is the funniest, most talented.

Yeah, Fallon is probably the worst "memorable" cast member.
Dude couldn't finish a skit without breaking character and cracking up..... Even with the skits that weren't funny.
However, he was better than Colin Quinn on WE, who was fricking dreadful.
There's an awful lot of people picking multiples, yet only people from the original cast.
While I agree that the OG cast had excellent talent across the board, compared to other casts, putting Akroyd, Ratner, Murphy, and Belushi (Hugely overrated) ALL over Hartman, Carvey, Farley, and every other cast member in the last 30+ fricking years is just being close-minded and nestalgic.
Baldwin=Best host

Phil Hartman hands down. His Clinton and Sinatra are classics.

If you can't say Belushi is #1 then you can't be thinking of anyone else other than Farley. Two of the funniest of all time. Tracy Morgan's astronaut jones and Brian fellows skits are my sleeper picks

Weekend Update has been terrible since Norm left.

It's pretty easy to say that neither Belushi or Farley were the best ever.
Neither were even the best in their cast.

There is no clear #1. Different humor sits with different folks.
My personal choice is Farley. The chippendale's skit and Mick Foley are two of best skits i've ever seen on that show.

I thought Farley was funny as all hell, but he really was a one trick pony, for the most part.
Foley, chippendales with swayze were both funny.
I think my personal fave from Farley was him as Tom Arnold. I believe Victoria Jackson played Roseanne. Thought it was great.

Chris Farley.
He taught me to never live in a van down by the river.
