Hartman and Hammond did the best impersonations.

Are you guys fricking serious with this Jimmy Fallon shite?

Dude shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as Belushi, Murphy, Hartman, nor Chevy Chase.

ETA: Nor Farley.

Top 5:
Hartman
Farley
Farrell
Akyrod
Belushi

News guys are in a different category:
Chevy
Dennis Miller
Seth Meyer
Fey/Fallon

Also, always loved Darrell Hammond's impersonations and Parnell's raps.

Love him or hate him by his political views, Alec Baldwin is one of my favorite hosts in SNL history.

Martins shtick got old for me. I agree on Baldwin, I find him incredibly funny.

The great comedy in this thread is that people actually think anyone from SNL came close to Belushi.

Fred Armisen is my favorite. Not the most lauded, but the best, imo.

No doubt, Morris was great. I found him to one of the best of the original bunch.

I like Belushi but I didn't think he stood out on the original. I always thought Akroyd was the funniest but that whole crew was fantastic.

You shouldn't give your pie away with breakfast. It makes you look cheap.

never once laughed out loud at anything he did, but then agan maybe I have not seen enough of his work.

maybe link me to something funny belushi did?

Even Eddie Murphy's shite hasn't all held up well.

Some comedy does, and some doesn't.

Google "Belushi landshark" and watch a few clips.

Also, didn't laugh at The Blues Brothers?

Gumby & Buckwheat haven't held up well? Nobody hits home runs 100% with every character but those are both on the top ten list all time for SNL.
