Terminator II?

I'm not really talking about stuff like LOTR or Star Wars because they were never going to be one movie.

I don't know if Judgement Day was planned all along or not, but I think its better than Terminator by quite a bit.

I think T2, along with Aliens, depends on your preference. Both original movies were great in their own way. Maybe slower paced, but still good.

Godfather 2
X-men 2
Dark Knight
Wrath of Kahn....if that counts.

See, does this count? That was a trilogy from the get go, right?

I forgot about Aliens. Cameron coming in to make a sequel to a movie that wasn't originally his. Very cool.

For my money, this is excellent.

However, so was Godfather 2 and Rocky 2.

If I had to rank them:

Godfather II/The Wrath of Kahn

Terminator 2

Aliens

Rockey II

ETA: Good call on Aliens - I may have it above Rocky II, even. Cameron used to be such a solid filmmaker... I also added TWOK

Mentioned it in a thread earlier today.

The problem with TWOK was that people tend to forget TMP.

I may have it about even with Godfather 2.

I've revised my list.

Would be my choice.

Rocky 2's ending annoys me, but still a great sequel.

T2 was awesome as well.

The Godfather Part II gets my vote

But I also have to mention these due to the fact that they're so good:

Aliens
Terminator 2
Back to the Future Part II
Rambo: First Blood Part II

Just reading the thread title my first reaction was Terminator 2. I guess I liked Bad Boys 2 just as much or maybe a little better than part 1.

Oh and Young Guns 2

No. It was not. There was only one book originally. The Godfather Part II was an original story based on characters created by Mario Puzo in his original novel.
