Saving Private Ryan /thread

The intro to Saving Private Ryan is an old man with his family walking amongst a military grave yard. It's not D-Day like many of you are assuming. Just because something happens at the beginning of the movie doesnt mean it's the intro.

Could make an argument that the old man in the graveyard is just a tie in to the beach scene considering the eyes transferring to the Higgins boat scene.

Star Wars - A New Hope

As the rebel ship cruised by, and then this massive star destroyed lumbering after it, seemingly stretching on forever. It was an awe inspiring opening.
