I go to sleep early one night this week and wake up to a new Batman and the internet puking all over itself.
I will enjoy reading the overreactions today for sure.
There is no casting that would've made the universe happy post-Nolan. There were many, many worse choices for the next Batman than Affleck.
I'm looking forward to it.

I think so. Haven't gone through the thread but he has experience playing a similar character, is a great director and much improved actor, and now will have fuel from the haters to motivate(like he cares about them anyway).
If all of that doesn't work. Kevin Smith won't let him fail.

Kevin Smith was in Daredevil and couldn't save him. I am honestly more shocked by this than when Ledger was cast as the Joker.

I wish the internet existed in 1988 as it does today. "Michael Keaton will be Batman" would've broken the internet from all the hate. Ledger and Afflecks casting doesn't even compare.

How fricking awesome would it be if Affleck shows up as Bruce Wayne for about the first 10 minutes of the film and then BOOM - they kill him off.
Would piss a lot of people off, but on the other hand would be one of the boldest creative choices ever in the superhero film genre.

Right. Would be crazy. I doubt they kill of their most popular superhero in 10 minutes though.

I would rather see Dax Shepard play Batman than Ben Affleck. I am not an Afflect fan in case you were wondering. I haven't liked him in ANY movie I have seen with him.
