Great movie. Just did a rewatch after a few years and even better this time around. This was one of Affleck's better performances IMO. In the early part of his career, I could see and feel him "acting" and did not enjoy his presence. After a few films lately I feel he has gotten a lot better at it. I really enjoyed Argo and I thought this role in particular he really inhabited the role. Great performances from Bernthal, Simmons, and Kendrick. Very good script as well. Affleck is finally growing on me.

I like the action portions of the movie. As an actual accountant, the auditing side of it was comical at best.

Aren't they making a sequel to this?

I find Anna Kendrick highly annoying in genera and I can’t place my finger on why. Any other female lead would have been more tolerable.

Who wants to watch a movie about accurate accounting?

You don't stare at the numbers and start doing a little dance?

I can see how that might take you out of the film, but I have no such restrictions or affinity with numbers or accounting to make a dent. I suppose it's kind of like a detective watching a detective movie for you. I think the whole premise of what, how, and why he does what he does is a great take to my untrained eye, not necessarily the forensic aspect of it.

Careful, you are treading on millennial nostalgia. She has a pointy pinched face and is not a great actress either.

She was much prettier in Twilight. Bigger boobs and fuller face so she was less mousey looking.

I always liked her but after hearing she was a huge kunt in real life I can't look at her the same

That is true about just about everything if doctor, lawyer, cop, and military/war movies/shows were accurate people would be bored to tears.

Never been a fan but I enjoyed The Accountant.

His best performance was when he played himself (a self absorbed a-hole) in Gone Girl.

I like the awkward wave to the old farm couple after killing the assassin with the belt. Funny.

He was excellent in The Way Back, a surprisingly sneaky good movie. Same guy directed Warrior, The Accountant and Miracle (Gavin O'Connor). Supposedly a sequel to The Accountant is in the works.
