Im about half way through 13. I liked ozzy in 16 so I wanted to check this one out, plus it has a few other folks from 16/20 recognize. I'll tell ya of the people I havent met yet I LOVE yul. He just seems like such a nice, cool, all american kinda guy you'd wanna be friends with irl. Does he appear on any later seasons?
Posted on 9/16/20 at 4:08 pm to WG_Dawg
Yes Yul appears in another season later on

Awesome thanks.
Also random question, have there ever been any fights on the island? Like actual fist fights

There's never been a physical fight on any season. It'd be automatic disqualification, and I don't even think an automatic DQ has ever happened. A few people have quit, but it's been several seasons since that has happened.

hantz's nephew might be the closest i can remember

Yeah, little Hantz is probably the closest I remember to an actual fight. That kid was nuts.

13 (still not done yet for that one dumb frick) feels so different than the other seasons I've seen. There is only 1 hidden idol all game and it can be played after votes are read. I like the newer way so much better as it leads to a lot more strategy and uncertainty for players.

Yeah, that super idol had too much power.

Yeah super idol's are OP. Cook islands is the last time it's used until they bring it back in Cagayan and people hated it lol.

Wasn't it a celebrity fan that told Jeff to bring it back?

Tyler Perry gave them the idea to bring it back and put it into the game without a clue or any hint as to where to find it.

I don't want to be obnoxious by recommending that season over and over again but it has almost everything.
Crazy villains
An elimination that had never happened before
Underdog moments
Great blindsides
Single meanest moment at a final tribal ever
Great winner

I thought it was Sia for some reason.
My dream is to sit next to Probst on a plane one day so I can bombard him with my ideas.

Ok I think I'm missing something. I remember in 28 there was a "super idol" that could be read after the votes but it was never found. They still had a ton of normal idols though that had to be played before votes. In 13 there is just the 1 idol all game found on exile and it's of the super version. I just assumed that by season 13 of the game that's how things were, I have no reference point prior to 13.
Pre-13 was it always just 1 idol per season or multiples?

Sia is a super fan. She sometimes gives out a prize to a fan that she really enjoys. She gave the 4th place finisher of s37 100k and the 3rd place finisher in s32 50k and 50k to a charity of his choice.

quote:No Tony found it. It was the second idol he had that he told them the "special" power was that it could be played at 4. That was a lie as idols can't be played past 5 anymore but it was a super idol that could be played after the vote.

quote:Idols didn't exist until season 11 and the first iteration had to be played before votes were even cast. THen they had a couple seasons of super idols before settling on the most common idol still in use.
I just assumed that by season 13 of the game that's how things were, I have no reference point prior to 13.
