Bautista Held a Meeting with Warner Bros. to Tell the Studio He’s Going to Play Bane

“I want to play Bane so bad I went to Warner Bros., had an appointment with them, had an appointment with DC, walked in the door and said, ‘I want to play Bane,'” Bautista said. “I’m not kidding. They were a little like. ‘Woah, we’re not even casting Bane.’ I was like ‘I don’t care, I’m playing him.'”

The only current Bane is on the Harley Quinn HBO Max series, voiced by James Adomian (George W. Bush from Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show). Hopefully Bautista doesn't take him out with a back breaker.

Pint-sized Tom Hardy had no business playing Bane. Other than Bautista, is there another actor out there with the proper physique to do it? I can't think of any.
ETA: Lol at all you Tom Hardy loving downvoters. He's 5'9" and 165 pounds. Bane is what, 6'8" or bigger? Good actor, doesn't have the physical size for the part.

Man Vince McMahon really hit it out of the fookin park in 2004/2005 building around John Cena and Bautista. Incredible. Add in The Rock and Vince has produced 3 of the most beloved actors in Hollywood.

He speaks Spanish from time to time because he grew up in a prison in a fictional Latin American country in the comics, but his father is King Snake so at least half of him is lily white European.
His mother is probably Latina.
ETA: Bautista is apparently of Greek and Filipino descent, so he would check the diversity boxes that apparently must always be checked when making hiring decisions like these in Hollywood.
