Didn't find a recent thread title discussing all the Anime Batmans but I just watched "Batman: Gotham by Gaslight" on HBOMax and was a really cool twist on Bruce Wayne Lore. Takes place in the Victorian-era where its Batman VS Jack the Ripper.

Made me curious what everyone else favorite anime batman is. The only other one I have seen is Mask of the Phantasm which is phenomenal as well

Which one should I watch next? Theres a lot on HBOMax rn

I like em all.

And the multi-year Justice League series they did.

The DC animated movies are probably my favorite part of HBOMax

My wife will regularly walk in on me watching cartoons and wonder wtf I'm doing

I heard they altered who Jack was in the movie versus the comic book, which I love.

SPOILER: In the comic book it's his Dad's friend, Jacob Packer.

FWIW, I always thought Gaslight would have made a fantastic stand alone Batman movie as a live action.

I know it's not just Batman but I liked the DC Animated Movie Universe

It was worth sitting through a couple I didn't like as much just to get to Apokolips War.

FYI some of the Batman movies on HBOMax are within this universe (Son of Batman, Batman vs Robin, Batman:Bad Blood, Batman: Hush) I wouldn't watch any of those unless you're going to watch the entire 16 movie universe. They're all related and it would be really difficult to just jump in to any of them and know what's going on.

The “Injustice” movie is really good but it is way dark. If you like Animae then Batman Ninja is cool. It’s set in Japan. Most of the Animated Batman movies are good

If you liked the new Pattinson Batman movie I recommend “Year one” and “Year Two”

As others have stated, there are so many good choices to pick from. DC can't string together two good movies in a row in live action it seems like but they churn out great animated movies like clockwork.

I thought it was fine but very short. It was more of a conversation between Bruce and Clark Kent where Bruce talks about the events leading up to and following the “death” of Jason. Seemed like more of a recap of the story

if you like dark, the Justice League Apokolypse War is one of my favorite animated movies. the ideas and twists in that movie are incredible. it's shite you only see in one off comics.

The Batman/Superman Movie: World's Finest
Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero
The Batman vs. Dracula
Batman: Gotham Knight
Son Of Batman
Batman: Assault On Arkham
The Lego Batman Movie

Also, adapted stories:

Batman: Under the Red Hood
Batman: Year One

Batman Hush

Justice League movies:

Long Halloween Part 1 and 2 are pretty solid.
I really liked year one and dark knight returns.
Obviously Batman Beyond and Phantasm are great. Honestly I recommend checking them all out along with the animated series. All have pretty good stuff and are enjoyable to watch.

I really enjoyed the Constantine dc movies as well as the mortal Kombat movies. Dc animated is just awesome. Also, check out the watchmen comic they did as well. Incredible retelling in an incredible way, like a visual audiobook.
