Told you so

The multiverse with multiple Supes and Bats existing going on.

It’s happening.

I liked Affleck as Batman. If they're going to do a multiverse thing, might as well bring back Bale, too.

Can you give us a synopsis instead of making us watch that weirdo’s video?

Long story short, some guy from a website called The Cultured Nerd LINK says he's heard that Affleck has been re-signed for a set amount of films where Snyder will continue his story with Batman dying at the end, Robert Pattinson will be Batman for a long time, Keaton will also be a Batman, and they are doing a multiverse. Not really proof of anything and more fanboy speculation TBH.

Den of Nerds (the video) is a conservative scooper, but given Flashpoint, BatFleck makes total sense.

Reeves Batman will exist, but DCEU will be “Earth Prime“

Cosmic Book News is saying Affleck will keep to HBO Max.
quote:

Murphy says Affleck agreed to return as Batman on HBO Max because he didn't want to take anything away from the new Robert Pattinson Batman who is starring in the upcoming Matt Reeves movie.

That would be cool and all b/c I'd looooove a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie series. I kind of have trouble seeing Shazam fit in with the other DC movies that branched off of the Snyder-verse flicks so it would be interesting if they placed it in a universe with Routh and Keaton. I'd just like to see it actually be announced first is all. Hell, I wouldn't even mind bringing back Clooney if he'd be willing.

Although, if this is the route they go it will be just a little annoying that they had to see it work so well with the CW shows first. It would have been nice to have had a plan for all of that to be incorporated in from the get go.

That's a click bait site. I'm not believing any of this

One of the worst ideas imaginable. People will be confused as hell and will then tune out.

Why would anyone be confused? The concept was already successfully done with the Spiderverse movie.

If DC is going the multiverse route, I think it would be super cool to see Injustice on the big screen. If you played the games it’s a really good story.

I’d rather them not. I love the Nolan Batman movies because they are grounded in reality, without the “good guys always win and all is well” trope you see in all superhero movies now. I don’t think the Nolanverse would work in a story with actual superheroes. They weren’t really comic book movies.

Jesus H. Christ

Even if you consider TDK as the bad guy winning, then Civil War, Infinity War, Black Panther,Guardians 2, Ragnorok, & Far From Home are all examples of good guys taking the L.

Nolan Batman is over revered.

Lol at doing a multiverse when those dumb bastards at WB and DC can’t even maintain a singular universe without fricking it up.

Also. I don’t believe Snyder is ever getting another DC film job. With good reason.

This is such a tired argument. The good guys have been ultimately winning in comics (and most of cinema) since their inception decades before comic book movies took off. Hell, look at the way history is presented where the U.S. are heroes and Nazis the evil villains in WW2. Who won there?

Newsflash: most movies also like to have a love story associated, that’s just what they are and have always been.

These tropes you mention are not inclusive only to comic books.

Not to mention, they do lose at times which humanizes them and is a reason people love these characters, they’re imperfect. Did the good guys really win in Civil War? The villain accomplished his goal of breaking the Avengers with half of them seen as vigilantes outside the law afterwards. How is this different than TDK? Then Thanos came in Infinity War and beat the entire Marvel universe’s collective asses - you might say a “hitherto undreamt of” loss.

I know, I know - you’ll argue those were undone by later movies. That’s just the nature of a cinematic universe, same as the comic media they’re based on. The fact is, those movies were not Endgame. Endgame was Endgame and the good guys prevailed as they ALWAYS will eventually. Even still lost several of their own, all is not well and I’m sure there will be repercussions. That’s the beauty of an ever-expanding universe. But they did not “win” in any way in the earlier mentioned flicks. Audiences want to see them struggle but ultimately for their heroes, the good guys and gals, to pick up the W. Just like Nolan’s Batman did.

I’d even argue in BvS that Superman died too, that’s not a win regardless of what happened in Justice League which is a different movie.

Animated movies get away with more, it was a standalone, and it's even in the name.

introducing a multiverse into an established expanded universe that's already having difficulties and which will presumably be spread out over multiple shows and movie franchises is a whole other thing.

It’s amazing how Warner Bros. has tricked people during this quarantine into thinking that they actually want more of this garbage Zack Snyder DC universe.

This is just a rumor, one I think is fake news, but we'll see. Snyder’s only working on his cut of JL. He's not involved in all these other films that are rumored.
