Everything about it is perfect. Never has a show about something so tragic made the viewer feel like they were a part of the story.

Sure there have been landmark shows since then. BB, GOT, The Sopranos and The Wire were great but they don't touch Band of Brothers.

My son and I watch the series at least once a year.

Anyone know if they are going to carry through with the series on the 8th Air Force?

Have you watched The Pacific? If not, check it out.

The exploration of the mental toll war can take on a person is well done in The Pacific.

It’s a yearly rewatch for my dad and I. Very few shows hold that status. Still chokes me up every year, too.

I watch it every Memorial day weekend.

It's an incredible piece of art.

I love Band of Brothers, although I feel like a useless bum by the time it's finished compared to those guys.

Too many white people, it would have been better serve if some of the cast member was black and hispanic like 60%.

Which is why I slightly preferred The Pacific.

They made that theater of war look like hell on earth.

If you watch the two series you walk away thinking, I'd much rather been in Europe fighting that front than Asia.

Joe Mazzalo plays a great Eugene Sledge. You really feel the utter hopeless they felt dealing with the rain, mud, Japs, heat, disease, etc.

It’s hard to put into words how great it is. It’s one of the few shows / movies that once it’s over, you feel privileged that you were able to see it.

I’m not sure there has ever been better cinematography on the big or small screen.

Was going to start the series with my son last night and then I realized as of last month Amazon Prime no longer has the HBO series. You have to subscribe to the HBO channel or buy the series. I'll probably buy it as its an all time great. Am I the last to figure out HBO series are no longer on Prime?

Sign up for a free 7 day trial of HBO Max. A week is plenty of time. Hell you could watch it and The Pacific in a week. Then cancel the trial subscription.
