The lesbian thing was subtle and not over the top, in fact it was left up to interpretation. Girl friends get way more touchy feely than guy friends and without a kiss or something of that nature it was just hand holding. I know it is insinuated, but not forced and falls within reasoning.

Well, if you listen to the soundtrack, I don't think its that open for interpretation. The Love Theme from the Original Show in the subtext of the music in the final scene as well: LINK

But yes it was subtle. Honestly I think the last horse just crossed the finish line for the two, and they knew that they loved each other beforehand, but I don't think either of them realized that they were IN love until that moment. It just hit them. Aang and Katara took nearly 3 seasons to get to that point, although I think they both knew since at least season 2 that they were both in love with one another. Them making out would be forced, and I found it subtle and sweet at the end.

Oh and the thing about the robot not killing people, it wiped out that outpost which killed people, and demolished battleships which definitely caused casualties. Asami ' s father was crushed on screen leaving nothing to the imagination.

Yeah, it took out a decent number of people I'm sure. Maybe not quite in the thousands, but I,d venture to say close. If they hadn't evacuated the city, it would have been at Man of Steel numbers.

Plus I wonder if he remembers that they violently burnt Ba Sing Se to the ground last season, leading to the implied deaths of tens of thousands. They could get away with it, they just smartly evacuated the city beforehand, and then destroyed it. I don't think the standards at Nick had them hold back on anything and they made the finale they wanted to do.

Aang was the passive, goofy airhead that ran from being the Avatar. So his journey was about learning the right time to fight, when to get serious, and taking responsibility.

Korra was always the headstrong, rush right in without thinking hero who knew she was the Avatar not long after she was out of diapers. So her journey was about becoming more compassionate, understanding and using more than just brute strength to solve everything. Not to mention every single opponent risked destroying her AS the Avatar. Both literally and figuratively.

So Korra beating her toughest challenge by talking her down by finding common ground? That's a good character arc.

The bisexual thing? Meh. I could not care less who Korra wants to sleep with.

The thing that's on my mind is what's next for Mike and Bryan? Their entire creative careers has been wrapped in Avatar. Do they have other ambitions? Tell a different story? I seriously doubt they ever tie themselves with a network like Nick, so where would they go? I for one hope it's Netflix.

Regardless of the Avatar franchise, if I was Netflix, I'd be beating down their fricking door. If Korra was a Netflix show, it would be a culture phenomena. Nick just wanted to make the show as difficult as possible for non-fans of the show to see it, since they only want to be seen as a company for kiddy and quite frankly stupid things. Anything that's clever, Nick wants nothing to do with. If it involves murder and lesbianism, then count them out, since they're not looking to challenge any conventions and just play it safe. Netflix takes risks though and they're not subject to the pussies at Viacom. I say let them make a different series through Netflix, and in the meantime Netflix buys out the Avatar franchise from Nick, and once they're done with whatever series they choose to do, they do the Earth Avatar after Korra series and make it more in the modern world.

Yeah. Keep advancing with technology and society and make bending be in the middle of it. Also have an avatar at a different walk of life each new book.

Still doesn't change my opinion on it. I still dislike it.

It wasn't really a talk down like some are saying. It was a "oooooh, you can do a shield from the spirit explosion, that's super powerful. I quit wanting to rule the earth kingdom, take me to prison."

No, it could be more anime.

Would love a Cold War Avatar world. With The Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation both stocking up on spirit vines and threatening each other. Have small wars in places around the world until the Avatar is forced to step in so they can prevent an all out Spirit Energy war.

Also have Varick doing 1950's style Spirit weapon propaganda films

It wasn't though. That was her excuse in front of her troops, but when Korra had the opportunity to talk to her, then she realized she went too far in pursuing her ideals. Sorry, but if Season 1 Korra had Kuvira's resources and was from the Earth Kingdom, she would have done the same thing Kuvira did. Hell, at least one of her past lives in Roku would have encouraged her to do it. Kuvira was an orphaned Korra from the start of the series, and the perfect antagonist to finish off her arc.

Yeah it was, it was lame. She could of did it with the water tribes.

Just admit defeat and realize you aren't changing my mind of believing it sucked. I know I won't change yours.

Well, let's do a ranking of the seasons throughout the franchise. For me it's:

1) Change
2) Earth
3) Balance
4) Fire
5) Spirits
6) Air
7) Water

And my top 10 characters in the franchise:

1) Zuko
2) Korra (did a great job redeeming her in the end)
3) Iroh
4) Varrick
5) Sokka
6) Toph
7) Tenzin
8) Zaheer
9) Bolin
10) Azula

How did Bolin get in over Aang?

Aang was 10 until I realized I forgot Tenzin. Bolin can just crack me up, even though I think Aang had a great character arc.

Not that I've seen that any of you were, but if you had any doubt that Korrasami wasn't canon, the creators confirmed it and explained why they did it: LINK

Pretty good, but I would drop Balance to 5 and bring up the other two.

Decent list of good characters as well. Not sure how I would rank them. Just like every other avatar fan, I wanted to see more of Koh though.

I will say, when Kuvira ran into the spirit wilds, I thought to myself, "Koh making an appearance here would be perfect."

It didn't happen though, but we can always dream I guess.

They did a good job not shoving it down your throat. I think that's the problem with a bunch of the LBGT themes, they are slammed with an in your face factor that throws a bunch of people off and turns them away. This was subtle and accepting, nothing wrong with the ending I thought it was great showing balance and change, which are 2 big themes of the Korra series.
