Well, twisters right now. Enjoyed the fries and Breaking Bad nostalgia. If you've never been in they have some decent memorabilia inside. Resturant was empty as it was takeout only, so that was a peaceful blessing.

I've always been a big fan of Breaking Bad and BCS, so to see where key plots have happened in that show, at that resturant was fun.

If you're ever in Albuquerque, and a fan of that universe, its worth the stop.

I have been there and also the Mister Car Wash aka A1A.

It was kinda cool just wish they were branded "correctly".

I went by Walter's house too, didn't stop or get out as id be annoyed if I lived there and people were always doing that. Tried to have consideration for the owner as im sure they deal with a lot.

I wanted to go by the car wash and get a legit wash. My car is dirty from road snow melt and looks trashy.

Eta

Hit up the dog house too, which was busy AF

Didn't they put a fence around the house? I heard the owner got tired of people throwing pizzas on his roof.

Our family goes to ABQ just about every year. My favorite location I’ve visited is the site where they first cooked and the big gunfight at the end of the series. It’s on the Tohajiilee reservation and is way off the beaten path. I have a blank shell casing in my office drawer from the location.

Yeah I was just passing through lol, if I had a few days I'd go there too. Seems like a beautiful area, but did seem kinda far out.

At least in the show they made it feel that way

Not a fan of Albuquerque the city but wouldn't mind going back for the sole purpose of gaining more weight.

Nice pictures.

I drove from Flagstaff to ABQ for work right before all of Covid.

Stopped at the 1st cook site on way in (probably enjoyed that the most..and yes it's a ways out).

Also got work truck washed at the car wash, found the seedy motel with Wendy and Walter's house. I really enjoyed finding them all.

ABQ is an odd city though. At least to me. I would not want to live there.

I dont get the feeling that I would either.

Maybe if I knew Spanish or liked meth I'd feel differently. Tomorrow I'm in Los Angeles, so I'll probably be missing ABQ.

My family and I did an unofficial Breaking Bad tour in ABQ. Still have pictures of all the locations. We had a lot of fun.

ABQ is beautiful, but its main problem is that it’s cut off from other cities geographically (and road-wise). That gives it a feel that it’s in a weird bubble and behind the times compared to other cities of its size.

I’ve gone to all the locations, but haven’t eaten there. Going to the White house is bizarre due to the fencing and the signs. Man the people who let them use their house have greatly regretted it. For years people threw pizzas on their rooftop ruining it.

There’s a reason the Schwartzes live in Santa Fe. Before Covid, I went to ABQ 4 times a year for business, but learned quickly to always stay in Santa Fe. Live in Denver, so drove to ABQ and Santa Fe is also closer to Denver and only a 45 minute drive to ABQ. ABQ is a shithole and Santa Fe is awesome. If you ever have business in ABQ, stay in Santa Fe for sure. About twice the drive as Phoenix is from Scottsdale, and anyone who does business in Phoenix and stays in Scottsdale can tell you why.

It’s kind of like a ghetto but not a ghetto. ABQ I can walk through and it feel endangered as I would say in Memphis, Detroit, or NOLA. It’s just kind of sad, which also makes it the perfect place for Breaking Bad to take place. Santa Fe is fricking awesome though.

Save for Santa Fe, it’s closest cities are Amarillo, Flagstaff, El Paso, and Colorado Springs, so it is pretty isolated.

There was a news story years back about how fans kept stopping by and throwing pizzas on the roof. Must've sucked arse for the owners but
