Had a great opening sequence with a fantastic score by Jerry Goldsmith.

One of my favorite movies as a child, I saw it a year and after umpteen years, and I enjoyed it just as much.

I didn't know anybody else liked the movie.

I coached a little league baseball team and took them all to see this movie. Good times.

Never knew how many famous celebs did the voices. Tommy Lee jones I remember, but Jim Brown, George Kennedy, Ernest Borgnine, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Christina Ricci, Michael McKean, Bruce Dern, etc.

Still blows me away how the CGI and SE from the 90s looks better than it does today.

eta: Just looked it up. Stan Winston was responsible for the puppetry. Shocker. Guy is unreal

Remember seeing this in theaters. Back when Ellick still had Westgate 8 Theater and wasn’t a complete shithole.

Saw it in the theater during the awesome summer of 1998. There were so many great films that came out that movie season. You had Small Soldiers, Armageddon, The Parent Trap, Dr. Doolittle, and my personal favorite from that summer - The Mask of Zorro. You also had some stinkers like Godzilla (yuck!). You also had Saving Private Ryan but that was rated-R and I wasn't allowed to see it as I was only 11 at the time.

I loved that movie. Criminally underrated, I don’t see anyone ever talk about it

This ^^^.

Loved that movie. I do wall murals of animated stuff (mostly Disney), and I did wall murals of Archer and Hazard in my kid’s room. He had all the toys too.

I watched it again about a year ago after seeing it when I was a kid. I actually was laughing at some stuff I didn’t understand as a kid. Good movie.

Because it was an obvious rip off of Toy Story
