This sucker came out my senior year of high school, back when going to college was all that mattered or you were a loser.

Justin Long was peak 2000s as Bartleby, fat Jonah Hill playing a smart fraternity pledge, Blake Lively as a young smoke show, Maria Thayer as one of the more underrated redheads of all time before she was in Sarah Marshall, a soundtrack that included Green Day and Blitzkrieg Bop, and the incredible idea you could create a college and get away with it.

Takes me back to the good old days everytime I watch it even though it’s stupid as frick.

Love me some Accepted. I haven’t thought about it in forever, and now I’ll be watching it this weekend.

Don't forget Lewis Black!

Health insurance my arse! They don't pay for shite. You get sick on a Friday, they only pay from Monday through Thursday. You go to doctor A, they only pay for doctor B. You break your penis, they only fix vaginas!

I'm going off the grid. No more Franchises, no more botox, no more "Hey, oh, lets clone another goat," and certainly no more sexual harassment lawsuits, what's wrong with saying "Hey, nice tits." When did that go out the window?

Haven't seen this is forever and always remember liking it. Funny thing, I always thought the redhead was Alicia Witt...

But I was wrong!

These are the type of comedies and in general one off but entertaining movies that Hollywood just stopped really making or prioritizing in any way.

1999- 2007 was a golden era of high school or young comedy movies. All these were great:

Accepted
Waiting
Mean Girls
The Perfect Score
American Pie
Van Wilder
Road Trip
Varsity Blues (kind of a comedy)
Scary Movie
Not Another Teen Movie
Superbad
EuroTrip

They’ll never be looked at as fondly as the 80s HS movies, but it was still a great era for that genre. And I agree with the above Hollywood stopped making these movies for some reason. Teenagers today really missing out.

My wife can't understand why I love this movie so much.

At its heart, it's a movie about the long con. It's The Sting, wrapped in Animal House, wrapped in American Graffiti.
