Saving Private Ryan and Apollo 13 are the only two on that list that I care for.

Joe Vs The Volcano is his best 90s movie and his best movie along with Road to Perdition imo.

OK, now bed.

Anyone who doesn't like all three of Toy Story, Forest Gump, and League of their own has something wrong with them. I can understand if you don't like one of them, but you don't like any of them? Madness.

The forgotten Hanks/Ryan movie.

I also like this movie, but it would stretch the range.

Well since I can't fall asleep I can rundown his Hanks list for you.

League of Their Own 1992

I'm not really into baseball or baseball movies that much though I do love Major League and enjoyed Eight Men Out. Plus I hate Rosie O'Donnell and I'm not much of a Madonna fan either.

I mean it wasn't a bad movie just nothing I would ever rewatch.

Sleepless In Seattle 1993

Never seen. Can't say I'm really interested. Not too much a fan of Meg Ryan RomComs except for the aformentioned Joe Verses The Volcano but I don't really think of that one as a Meg Ryan RomCom.

I like her non RomCom movies she's been in like Innerspace, D.O.A., The Doors and Flesh and Bone.

quote:

Philadelphia 1993

Isn't that the movie where he's gay and has AIDS? Yeah, not interested.

quote:

Forrest Gump 1994

He's retarded. It's retarded.

Apollo 13 1995

Like this one.

quote:

Toy Story 1995

Never seen. I think Beauty And The Beast was the last Disney movie I watched.

quote:

That Thing You Do 1996

Never seen. Looks like it could be interesting though.

quote:

Saving Private Ryan 1998

Like this one.

quote:

You've Got Mail 1998

I've seen the original The Shop Around the Corner with Jimmy Stewart so I'm not interested in this remake.

So you're judging me based on two movies out of over 3 thousand that I've see?

I could recommend you plenty of great movies but if you want to disregard my opinion based on two movies one of which I've never even seen than you're even more retarded than Gump.

Honestly, every one of those movies is considered a good to great film by many people. So yes I would say it hurts your credibility to try and trash that run by Tom Hanks.

You specifically trashed two movies he won the Academy Award for Best Actor (Philadelphia and Forrest Gump) and then mentioned you haven't even seen one of the most popular animated movies ever.

Jim Carey had a ridiculous run from '94-'04

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
The Mask
Dumb and Dumber
Batman Forever
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
The Cable Guy
Liar Liar
the Truman Show
Man On The Moon
Me, Myself, and Irene
How The Grinch Stole Christmas
The Majestic
Bruce Almighty
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind
A Series of Unfortunate Events
In Living Color

Those are all his feature films made in that period, except for Simon birch, which I've never seen.

I don't have a top 5 I have a top 300. Let's hear your top 300 that makes you such an expert to pass judgement on me.

So me having gave my opinion on half a dozen Tom Hanks movies now outweighs the fact that I've been one of the more consistent movie board posters here the last eight years?

Eight years of posting here and this is the amount of goodwill I've built up?

Academy Awards are a popularity contest not a determination of actual movie quality.

Sorry that my not having seen Toy Story offends you but I quit being interested in Disney movies when I got into my teen years and now as a 36 year old man I'm even less interested in them.
