No, it was legit stupid and most of the episode. Glad you enjoyed it fanboy.

The music was a techno-pop variation on the Andor theme, not sure how you'd miss that. And the whole purpose of her dancing like that was obvious.

Oh, cool! No! It sounded stupid. So many Boba Fett Vespa riders cringey vibes. Ughh.

I like the show, but I’m not gonna make pussy arse excuses for cringey TV.

I’m baffled by your take.
Maybe the music wasn’t your taste. But did you really just watch it and think, “Sucks. This song’s for queers.”

I thought that Mon Mothma’s scenes were the highlight of the first 3 episodes.

This show. This vibe. This level of dialogue with some action thrown in. This view of the both the every man and the elite. It’s exactly what I want from Star Wars.

Never thought I’d hear the word rape, or see a rape fight in Star Wars. Thanks Disney. That was really necessary.

Was that what his issue was? I thought they were implying that he was mad that everyone was doing well that was involved except for him. That's why Luthen kept saying to give him the number he wants to satisfy him financially? Maybe I'm just forgetting something from season 1.

I think it’s a combo of that plus his own marriage failing and his business dealings failing due to rebel activities. He’s just spiraling for a bunch of reasons and is now a loose cannon. Gotta cut off the loose ends.

And the whole purpose of her dancing like that was obvious... that was a "I'm gonna get drunk and dance because I hate myself" moment. She knew everything that was happening was by her own doing. She sold her daughter to a gangster to cover her money. She knew her friend that helped set that up for her, because he had some puppy love feelings for her, she had to have him killed because he was weak and could expose everything. Her husband's speech about how life is fricked and you try to find what happiness you can- she fricked him over with the gambling scheme. She just went into "frick it all" mode by the end of the festivities.

yeah. she was holding back tears then just said frick it i'm getting drunk

Just finished 2 and 3. All the stories are set up now, so it's go time for the rest of the season.

Major kudos to the editor(s) of episode 3. The last 10 minutes were perfect from an editing standpoint.

I took a few other things away from it.

She ended up getting drunk just like she said her mother did at her own wedding.

She got drunk after her daughter’s response to her compassion was “I wish you were drunk right now”. (Pretty cold BTW)

She decided to do what her husband was talking about in his speech and seized a happy moment.

Or you could also say she just went back into rebel mode by putting on a brave face and just enjoying her daughter’s wedding like nothing was wrong.

I think maybe with Bee being so old and not functioning all that well, they will transfer his parts into the imperial droid that becomes the K2 we all love.

I would love for this to happen. Only downside would be K2’s death in Rogue One hits much harder knowing it’s Bee too.

Do you think i'm an old lady that can't handle the word "rape" in a show?

It's just irritating that the last two things Disney has done with Star Wars has had straight forward sexual scenes, where as the previous 11 movies and dozens of seasons of shows hadn't had even the slightest hint of sexual anything in them like this. I don't need or want sexual scenes like this in Star Wars. It just doesn't belong in Star Wars like this. The few times there's been sexual undertones in the past, it's always implied, not shown physically like this was. It's not that I can't handle it, it's that it doesn't belong in Star Wars b/c the precedent has been set with it.

I feel the same but opposite way about new HBO series. I expect to see some tits, and i guess now some fake dong, and if I don't, it's a bit irritating.

i've read some back and forth on this. Bee and K2 do have very different personalities. So it'll be interesting to see that change if he does get uploaded into K2. I kind of hope it happens and we see Bee get a new lease on life with a tough ending. But I can see why people don't think it'll happen.

Did I miss a sex scene in Skeleton Crew?

To me it's not out of place at all in Andor. This is Star Wars for adults. It's also fine that you didnt enjoy that scene and it felt out of place to you.

We had a literal sex slave on a chain, but simply saying the word “rape” is too far? No clothes came off, and nothing was shown but a fight. This show is rated tv-14 after all.

i dont know what that's supposed to mean. Star Wars is and always has been for everyone. Just b/c this is supposed to be for "adults" doesn't mean we need to watch a sexual assault take place. That's just not what is expected in any Star Wars show or movie.

You haven't a clue what i'm talking about.
You say literal sex slave.
DId you notice how i used the word implied? You are implying that Leia was a sex slave, b/c no where in the movie did they show anything close to her actually being a sex slave. You just assume that's what she is b/c of the way she's dressed. They could have even had a scene where Jabba forces Leia to go with some bounty hunter to a room and show nothing else, but they didn't even do that.

Do you see the difference between that implied sexual situation, and the actual sexual situation of an imperial slimebag telling a woman she's going to need to have sex with him in order for him not to report her, then when he doesn't like her answer, he physically tries to rape her and we watch this play out?

this scene where he acted like his boss was the bad guy in front of the officers knowing he was going down was some real shite.

Was he just trying to frame his boss as helping the storm troopers so they didn't suspect the boss as a rebel? I couldn't quite get it, but that's what I took away.
