This is fantastic, much more info.

My wife had it on, so I watched it. There was no information therein that wasn’t covered in the 30 for 30.

I saw an article saying was “a shocking new revelation about why the gloves didn’t fit,” but again, no, the arthritis meds were covered in the 30 for 30.

Ahhh...I never watched the 30 for 30 episode.

Boy, Mark Fuhrman has had to come to grips with the fact that he will forever be known as the biggest racist of all time.

It was nearly 8 hours long and interviewed the same people. Kinda tough to get much more perspective in the new one. New one seems to have done well though, so more power to them for making it.

Fuhrman’s last name hasn’t done him any favors either. Spelled kinda like Fuhrer, sounds kinda like German lol

So what do we make of the blood on the gate and on the socks? Seems those could have been planted because of their higher than normal levels of whatever is in the vial to collect blood

That would require me to believe the likes of Carl Douglas are holding a smoking gun and not just spinning yarn. He stated in the documentary that those two samples were "much higher than the other samples collected", but failed to mention that they were still nowhere near the levels of the samples from the vial tubes.

Well yeh Carl...10 bowls of spaghetti is higher than 2. But 10 bowls of spaghetti is closer to 2 bowls than it is to 100 bowls.

From the wikipedia page on the DNA testing on the case:

quote:

The claim was refuted by the defense's own witness, FBI special agent Roger Martz who showed the level of EDTA in that blood drop is consistent with unpreserved blood and not even close to the levels that would be seen in blood from a purple top tube.

He reminds me very much of Jackie Chiles
I mean… Jackie Chiles is a parody of Johnnie Cochran.

Makes sense that some Cochran rubbed off on his right hand man.

OJ could have been out of the country for all the police knew. They had no clue where he was so planting something would be very stupid.

First time I've ever seen someone in OJ's close inner circle admit that OJ confessed personally to him that he did it. I thought more people would be talking about it after that episode.

I think he ended up admitting it several times.

Was that really his ex-wife making that comment during the bronco chase?
Also I don’t think they mentioned the shoes? If they had that pic of him wearing them for the criminal trial I wonder if it would have made a difference? Only like 200 something pairs were sold.

Never understood how that wasn’t more clearly stated in the trial.

It’s confirmed Furhman would have had zero way of knowing the wasn’t home correct?

Something I took away more powerfully than the other docs is just how severely OJ literally ruined so many people’s lives beyond those that he took and the direct families.

Furhman, his friend/agent, Darden, the head prosecutor, the other detectives. Good lord what a tragic jet wash.

Furhman was obviously a POS back then but good lord that man has paid a heavy price for the rest of his life.

Poor Ron Shipp. I bet he was a cool dude to get drunk with. LA was an awesome place in the 80s and 90s minus all the riots.

Yea that was her. She was nuts.

...and obviously a racist.

Yea, I don't think they really touched much on the shoes during this special. The amount of evidence was just astonishing.

Peacock documentary OJ Simpson blood lies & murder is really good

I watched this last night. So much evidence the prosecution didn’t even introduce. You weren’t kidding about the graphic pictures. OJ was a complete POS.

can’t get over them not collecting that perfect bloody fingerprint on the gate door knob.

Same here, you would think even a small child would know that a bloody fingerprint is one of the the first things you would collect/preserve at a murder scene.

I used to think that someone else could've done this etc...

but this should've been such a cut and dry case for conviction until OJ's lawyers muddied everything up.

fuhrman's lawsuit didn't help his case. I don't think though for one second anyone planted anything. OJ was a narcissist and didn't try to even hide his tracks save for dumping the weapon at the airport. the blood trail was incredible. he was so stupid

I feel bad for Tom Lange He told people on the scene to collect certain things and they didn't. He told Marcia Clark to present certain evidence in a distinct order to tell a story and they fricked that up.Philip Vannatter I don't feel bad for because he did several dumb things like carrying around OJ's blood in the trunk of his car for a day etc.

The whole thing was a perfect storm for OJ

*Rodney King was a recent memory of Jury
*Chief Criminologist had a broken leg so an incompetent backup was sent (Dennis Fung)
*Trial was changed from Santa Monica to downtown LA due to Construction on Santa Monica courthouse that was supposed to be done but was running way behind
*The Jury being extremely low IQ
*Judge Ito allowing the Defense Team to essentially run/control the court room
*Furman being involved at all

Its like the stars aligned for OJ in this to get the result that happened and even despite all the evidence which some people have said was almost too much evidence it still took a Jury who despite being a bunch of low IQ morons was not going to convict OJ because of the circumstances involved even with video proof and an admission.

Biggest shock is all the evidence that was not properly collected and/or introduced at trial. Probably wouldn't have matterer anyway.
