In that case, the down sydrome girl is also a ghost because "she can always find away into the house"

exactly, she also feels extremely comfortable with whatever demon is living down in the basement (the scene where she's rolling the ball back and forth)

btw. I love this show

I just got caught up on the first episodes. This is some strange, fricked up shite. Has anyone addressed why the husband sees the maid as a younger version? Or is that just kind of playing into "the house knows your thoughts/likes/fears" idea?

ETA and yes, everyone other than the 3 family members and the girl from school are ghosts IMO

I just noticed something and I don't think it was mentioned last week, the burning man is played by the same actor who played Russell Edgington in True Blood.

I'd say that his weakness is younger attractive women. Remember what the burning man said to him while after he was jogging. Then, in the next scene he's lying to his wife about why he has to leave for Boston. I'm sure we'll learn Mrs.Harmon's & Violets weakness soon enough.

This is one of the most flat out entertaining shows I've seen in a while. I'm lovin all the crazy shite going on in almost every scene. I dig the origin story of each ghost as the intro scene. Really looking forward to watching it unfold.

Along with the popular, scratched up, coke girl...the burned guy isn't a ghost, right?

There's no telling what he is. If I had to guess I'd say he wasnt a ghost but he could be something else for all we know. He did have a creepy arse grin on his face in the first episode when the dad yelled at him and ran off.

He lived in the house and was forced to kill his family by the ghosts if you can remember from the first episode. Maybe he's alive. Or maybe he stayed in a dream state in the house when it burned and he's dead too...

Great show.

The maid preys on weak willed husbands, so she probably assumes a form to do so...

i think he's alive, He's the only character who isn't attached to the house. If you've noticed he's never appeared inside the house and only speaks to Ben.

We've still got to figure out what's down in that basement.

I don't think he is, he's seen away from the house, unlike the others.

And when Ben called Tate's mom, who exactly was he talking to?

Crazy episode! What was up with the old lady wanting to give Violet poisoned cupcakes? The room she has with all the mirrors is fricked up.

Tate is a disturbing character, telling Ben how he'd bang his daughter was messed up.

I liked seeing the "ghosts" kill the serial killer copycats.

Most likely his next door neighbor. I've got a feeling that we'll learn later that she used to live in that house or that one of her children were killed in the house.

The part where he turned into a demon and scratched the crackhead girl in the face didn't give it away?

I do think Tate is her son, but how would Ben know that?

And I have no doubt doubt she lived in the house, since she was the one who killed the maid the 1st time around. The maid was probably trying to seduce her husband and that could have been the breaking point of a culmination of things...

It keeps you guessing and I bet the explination will be something way different than all these guesses

I wasn't paying attention during the part where Jessica Lange and her daughter appeared to be in their own house.

Have we seen any of the ghost candidates outside the family home other than the above.

We need short code words for all the characters.
