re: ALONE S10 Season Discussion Thread

Not sure if anybody ended up watching all of Australia but I finished it last night. Had the spoilers in here but stuck it out anyway.

I have to say, a few episodes into this one I did not expect anyone to make it 67 days there. That place was a hell hole. The weather wasn't as bad as other places but my god the hunting was non existent and the fishing was almost non existent.

I'm not sure why they would put them in a place where hunting was basically impossible. You could only trap animals. But there were barely even any animals to trap You couldn't use a gil net or even a reel, you had to basically just let your line sit like your tossing about a bobber. So stupid. So they were basically like "let's take away almost everything that makes this show cool and see how it goes." If you're going to do it in Australia, do it in a location that doesn't have so many restrictions.

I didn't mind the winner. I think there have been better female survivalists (she admitted to not being the best) on the show but she had a good attitude and just enjoyed being out there, which was a big deal in that hell hole. I'm sure Mike would have won if it would have been in a location with decent hunting and fishing.

I kind of hate to suggest they wanted a woman to win because Gina was good but it does make you wonder when they removed Mike when they have let people stay out there that were in much much worse shape than he was. They said it was because of his blood pressure and they didn't say the number so maybe it was really really low but he still had some meat left on his bones and had good energy.
