I have YouTube TV which doesn't have History on it but in years past they had it on the Roku app and you could stream for free with adds. Now they only allowed the first episode free and I guess the rest are locked.
I have YouTube TV also so can’t watch it on there. I just stream it on my phone from historychannel (not the app) on my phone and AirPlay it to my tv.

I’ve enjoyed all the Alone seasons but this one has been pretty boring so far to me.

This has to be the weakest cast of characters yet. They have food everywhere and we've somehow lost 4 people in the first 6 days?

Watched SP4 last night. For some reason they have gone two weeks in between episode twice now. I guess they are trying to string it out longer. Just odd.

That episode wasn't great but I think all the pussies are gone now and the rest are pretty decent survivalist. The people that left in the first three episodes did not belong on the show, outside of the guy that got legitimately sick. Not the skinny middle eastern dude that just pretended to be sick.

The season hasn't been great overall, but I like it in theory. The terrain and different game/fish is a nice break. Hopefully it picks up.

Hopefully this season picks up, but this has easily been the least interested i've been for this show after 4 episodes.
Bunch of sissies tapping out, outside of the 1 guy shitting blood.

I just don't like the idea of this place and the water issues. Even if you build somethign to store water in, you likely can't seal it well so you'll have bugs and other shite in it in no time, so you can't really save that much water. What good does it do you to kill some big game if you have to process and smoke it basically that day or it's going to go bad. And this is a place that it seems like hanging up a bunch of dried meat is going to get eaten by something, especially considering none of them have any type of shelter.
SPeaking of shelters, can't wait to watch the moron float away b/c she decided to build camp in a dry river bed. When she said "dry river bed" my first thought was, dry river beds can become wet river beds real quick, seems like a really stupid place to set up camp. One of the things i most like about the show is how and why they bulid the shelters they build. I think one guy has built a shelter thus far, and it's just a few sticks and a tarp.

it's just been a boring 4 epidsodes so far from a survival perspective. Seems like the entire survival aspect is dealing with purifying enough water to keep you from dehydrating each day, and they are all dehydrated. I did really like seeing the guy make the water container out of that root ball. That was cool

Won't spoilt the next episode, but I got excited when it rained because she has to be the most annoying person in this series.

I didn't expect to see the amount of rain they got this episode and that made everyone start to really think of shelters.

Yea this has been the least interested I have been in any of the seasons so far, so much so that I went back and watched season 7 and watched Roland smoke everyone

These people have so much food around them and build the shittiest shelter so far. At least in the preview for episode 6 it looks like one guy is going to really get serious on a shelter. The lake is full of so much catfish, someone needs to build a good smoker and then put out 10 handlines and for God's sakes bleed the catfish first.

This season has been a huge letdown thus far.
Half of these contestants had no business being on this shows and those that are left just aren’t interesting at all. Kelsey is the only one that seems to be doing anything I’m interested in watching, and she’s annoying.

I don’t care about what any of them have to say, and I don’t need them to be some character that is trying to entertain me. Survive and enjoy nature. That’s what made this show great. The more you get away from that the least I want to watch. There’s a reason some of the most popular survival/nature channels on YouTube include people that don’t speak at all or very little.

I watch this with my 72 year old mother and she has displayed more knowledge than some of these contestants. The whole no water bottle for most of them and that woman setting up in the dry river bed made me question their abilities

Worst season of this show and it’s not even close. I think one of the women will win and they can finally say that happened.

These are the weakest contestants I’ve ever seen on a survival show. I’m surprised all of them didn’t tap out on the first day. Soft.AF.

I have this belief that when they're casting this show they purposely select players they feel will tap early. This is still a TV show. They don't want 10 "Rolands" that would still be out there if he wanted. They need the attrition and don't want 90- day runs anyomre.

This season plays into my belief as this appears to be a less adept group than in the past. The lack of Shleter building has been the bigger tells IMO.

Well it’s not that cold and it’s not supposed to rain, so they don’t really need a shelter.
I still would think you would want to occupy your time making a “home”. I like the shelter the one guy is making with rocks and sand. That’s going to be really cool.

But agree they can’t get 10 Roland’s out there.

The editing is so irritating. I’d bet money some of these guys have caught over a dozen fish each, yet they might show someone catch 1 or 2 fish over 2 weeks. They are all eating stuff they are foraging for, yet we hardly see any of that. One guy made a water storage. What the hell are the rest of them doing? You’d think you would want to spend the evening boiling water and storing enough for the next day, and letting it cool over night so you have cold water in the morning and throughout the day.

And one of these idiots took a bar of soap with him out there as his 10 items. I think when someone selects something that stupid they should be automatically eliminated and someone else is selected to go.

I actually get the soap. Bring clean can be a major mental boost. I don't get people not making sure they have some kindling tucked away and dry when they saw the weather coming

I've been suspicious of the editing/presentation since atleast season 6. They would just show scenes that seemed to me to contradict how they were presenting the competitors' actual condition. Even my young daughter pointed out one of these anomalies. I guess they do what they think they have to do for entertainment. But I now suspect that a lot of the ones that actually make it past the first 30 days are far more prepared and competent than what's shown.

There’s a podcast that is done by former cast members and they interview everyone from the show to talk about their time. The guy that one last year that killed the moose had caught like 50 fish as well yet they didn’t show anywhere near that for him. But I guess if they did it was obvious he was going to win (not that it wasn’t already since he had a fricking moose). They edit out so much.

I’ve said it before but I’d love to have a some kind of chart that shows everything each contestant has caught and eaten along the way.

I've started watching Alone Austrailia S3 and it's a far better group survivalist and the location (Tasmania) is much better than the desert. We're seeing a lot more emphasis on various survial skills and not as much personal stories (although there is a few).

I just don’t care at all about the personal stories. Unless it has something to do with learning survival skills, I don’t care that so and so died or this person is sick.

Roland must look at this season's contestants and just shake his head.

These reality shows jump the shark for me when the sob stories come out. I used to love shark tank and hearing the business back and forth. Then comes the sad music and cancer story or some single mom's story of divorce and getting back up on her feet

The guy who killed the moose last year didn't win. Timber I think. He was the first person to kill a big game and not win. William won, the guy from Labrador that was just a killer fisherman/survivalist. He 100% could have lived out there. It was like 80+ days and he wasn't even close to going home. He was comfortable in his fort, had built an igloo and had it filled with fish, and was never talking about his home life. He was one of the few guys that could contend with Roland and Jordan as all time greats.
